This festival hosts bonsai exhibits and bonsai pot sales exhibitions, etc.

The village was founded by bonsai cultivators who settled in Omiya in the Taisho era and the bonsai gardens opened around that time are still in operation today. The bonsai gardens are open to visitors for appreciation and you can also purchase bonsai.

BONSAI-SATSUKI FOR SALE (Kawaguchi Angyo, Saitama Pref.) Japan
This Bonsai-Satsuki exhibition and sale was held in May 2018 at Kawaguchi Green Center by the professional bonsai specialists of Angyo. Angyo is the area where their nurseries are located.In the nurseries you can see every kind of bonsai tree and if you should happen to buy a bonsai you can continually get advice from specialists on the everyday care of it.The Kawaguchi Angyo Bonsai & Satuski Map contains all the addresses and names of the nurseries. Angyo is easly accessible from Tokyo and not far away.
Please note that non the price tags sometimes you will see this kanji: 万 If you read ８万 it means 80.000 .
In short if you see the kanji add 4 zeros to the number before the kanji.
I do not know for sure but better consider adding a + 8% taxes to the price on the tags.Hope you will enjoy the video and if you are looking to buy a bonsai do not miss to go to Angyo (Saitama Prefecture).

Omiya Bonsai Village - Saitama - 大宮盆栽村 - 4K Ultra HD
The Omiya Bonsai Village is the general name for the area on the north side of Omiya Park enclosed within the Tobu Noda Line and JR Utsunomiya Line. Known as one of the most outstanding bonsai cultivating areas in Japan, visitors can take delight in the bonsai all year round, as they change from one season to the next.
The area consists of five main Bonsai gardens, or Bonsai nurseries, including : Fuyu-En, Kyuka-En, Seiko-En, Mansei-En and Toju-En. The Omiya Bonsai Village has come over time to be not only one of the best places to buy and enjoy Bonsai, but also a place where a few very lucky people from around the world, come and learn the ancient art of Bonsai.
Please note that these Bonsai nurseries are private gardens and as such it is forbidden, without prior authorisation, to take photos or videos within the grounds.

The Omiya Bonsai Festival features exhibits of especially outstanding bonsai of masters in the art and of local residents as well as sales of bonsai plants, bonsai tools and bonsai pots.

During the bonsai festival days, more than 100 bonsai shops stand along the streets of the bonsai village. Last year (2017), about 140,000 people visited the event.

OMIYA BONSAI Art Museum, Saitama
The Omiya Bonsai Art Museum, opened in 2010, is the world's first publicly-run Bonsai Museum. Its purpose is to spread a comprehensive bonsai culture. About 40 to 50 bonsai are displayed in the garden according to the season. In the gallery, collections of bonsai, bonsai pots and suiseki are on display with some displayed as Zashiki-kazari.

The Museum was opened in 2010, the Omiya Bonsai Art Museum us the world's first publicly run museum dedicated to bonsai art. It has a very large collection of bonsai masterpieces and bonsai related artifacts including bonsai pots, miniature landscape stones known as Suiseki, books, woodblock prints etc...The display changes with the four seasons and around fifty bonsai trees are on display at any one time, in the bonsai garden out side and the gallery in side.
History of Omiya Bonsai Village:
A group of professional bonsai growers from Tokyo moved to this area after the Great Kanto Earth Quake in 1923, in search of spacious land, fresh air and water suitable for bonsai cultivation. Omiya Bonsai Village was established in 1925.
Upon its founding, the village had four residence requirements:
1. Possession of 10 or more bonsai tree
2. Agreeing to open their gardens to the public
3. No two story houses
4. The use of hedges as live fencing
The calm scenery of the Omiya Bonsai Village has been preserved since 1925 when it was established.
Omiya Bonsai Village is known all over the world, and along with foreign tour groups, it is visited by overseas bonsai enthusiasts, bonsai lovers and VIP's.
