Uganda Be Kidding Me
One of the darling teams of the little league World Series this year has hailed from an unexpected part of the world: Uganda.
This marks only the second time an African team has advanced to the LLWS so it was a huge deal for Africa and Uganda, a country of about 38 million.
They had an up-and-down run in the tournament but shocked the baseball world when they beat the Dominican Republic 3-2 before ultimately losing an elimination game against Taiwan on Monday.
Tuesday, however, before they went back to Uganda, the team made a special trip to Trenton to play an exhibition game against one of our local teams, the Chambersburg All-Stars.

We were sent off with some incredible energy and enjoyed a five day cruise along the coast as the crew got to know each other a bit better :) We enjoyed our first taste of the insane amounts of wildlife we would be experiencing throughout Namibia but get a bit spooked when our radar fails in the thick fog just outside of Luderitz!
