Aruba Vlog: Eagle Beach, Fixing Our Broken Vlog Camera!

We started the day at Eagle Beach. It was beautiful but incredibly windy! So windy in fact that our camera stand - with camera mounted to the top - was knocked over twice. We have no idea why we didn't just put the camera away after the first fall, but the second fall left our camera incapacitated. There was so much sand stuck in the lens that it would no longer retract. We ended up taking the camera to Boolchand's, an electronics store in Oranjestad. While they don't officially fix cameras, this problem is an all too common occurrence in Aruba and our sales representative Reuben was so kind as to show us how to gently tap the sand out of the lens. With a lot of gentle tapping, our camera was functioning by the end of the day. Hurray!
Regardless of where you're staying on the island, we recommend the restaurants at the Market Place, which is next to the Renaissance Hotel. Our sandwiches from Le Garage were delicious, and of course we couldn't go without stopping by the Starbucks.
