Exploring the Coromandel -Easter Escapades
Wonderful Whitianga. Having scored a free mooring ball we take full advantage by re-provisioning, fuelling up and taking in the weekend markets.
We are thwarted in our quest for beer on Good Friday thanks to New Zealand's licensing laws, but fortunately we have a few cold ones in the onboard fridge.
Having stocked up, we begin our journey north to Whangarei as our date for hauling out at Norsand Boatyard is fast approaching.

We had no prior sailing experience when we bought out 40ft catamaran 'Double Trouble' , but hey, mere details right? We moved onboard in January 2017 and have been learning ever since. We love our life , both on and under the oceans. We're both super keen on protecting our precious environment ,so amongst other things, we both follow a plant based diet. No fishing rods for us . Join us for fun and games as we set off around the world at walking pace.

We spend some time at Port Fitzroy on Great Barrier Island doing some local walks.
Our Honda generator breaks again, so we clean up its fuel system to get it operating properly.
We then head south to the Coromandel coast and beautiful Great Mercury Island. We are greeted by a pod of dolphins and have a very special visitor at Peachgrove Bay.
We then continue over to the mainland , to Whitianga, where we pick up a mooring and plan to have a relaxing Easter break.
