Went outside of Seoul again. This time it was a trip to #Namhae, a super peaceful place surrounded by pure nature. Went to a sheep farm. Had some fresh and yummy koreanfood and also went to the #GermanVillage, which I was so curious of! Hope you’re enjoying this vlog :)

Yeosu and Namhae, South Korea 여수 남해 여행
This video is the first of my two part my summer vacation road trip. I visited the cities of Yeosu and Namhae in the southern region of Korea. Follow me as I roam through these cities. In Yeosu, I walked around Odongdo island, rode a cable car, went to the Expo center, walked through an underwater tunnel at Aqua Planet, visited Hyangriam Hermitage and tried their signature soy sauce crabs. In Namhae, I went to the beautiful Boriam temple, stopped by the famous Daraengie Village, and had a relaxing time at Kunst Lounge cafe in the German Village. Boriam is a Buddhist temple which sits at the summit of Mt.Geumsan located at Namhae, some 320 kilometers (198 miles) southeast of Seoul. The temple is well known as one of South Koreans' favorite Buddhist temples.

With spectacular views of the neighbouring ocean, and the tiny islands that dot its horizon, Boriam Hermitage couldn't remain unattended by me for very long. And recently, I was able to visit this oceanside hermitage. So without further ado, here's Boriam Hermitage in Namhae, Gyeongsangnam-do.

Boriam Hermitage was founded in 683 as Bogwangsa Temple. Later, King Taejo began the Joseon Dynasty after praying here for a hundred days. Thanks to this, the temple was deemed a main prayer space and the name changed to Boriam Hermitage.
Nestled at the top of Geumsan Mountain, Boriam Hermitage is a picturesque temple embracing the beautiful mountain surroundings and the Namhae sea. Along with Naksansa Hongryeonam Hermitage in Gangwon-do and Bomunsa Temple in Ganghwa-gun, Incheon, Boriam Hermitage is one of three noted praying temples in Korea.

Yongmunsa Temple
Hello Again Everyone!!
Another one of the temples I visited during my Namhae adventure was Yongmunsa Temple. While not as well known as the neighbouring Boriam Hermitage, Yongmunsa Temple has a lot for the Korean temple adventurer to explore. In fact, Yongmunsa Temple is a bit like a museum in the form of a Korean Buddhist temple with it various Buddhist paintings and artwork. Take a look at the video and see what I mean.

정성껏 맑게 우려낸 차 한 잔이 생각이 나는 사찰, 경남 남해에 있는 호구산 용문사에 다녀왔습니다.
산과 바다가 어우러진 아름다운 용문사는 신라시대 원효스님이 창건한 사찰입니다. 조선 숙종 때는 왕실의 보호를 받는 사찰이었습니다.
용문사는 임진왜한 때 승병들이 일어났으며, 그 때 사용했던 목조 구사통이 보관되어 있습니다.
천년지장도량으로도 잘 알려져 있는데요. 지장보살 기도를 많이 하면 조상분들은 극락왕생하고, 업장이 소멸되어 무량한 복덕을 짓게 됩니다.

Two years ago, I traveled to Germany. I miss it. Germany is too far from Korea. So, what better place to visit Germany away from Germany? This village! Located in the most underrated (beautiful!) places in Korea, Namhae (남해). Enjoy Namhae German Village (남해 독일마을) a special German experience in Korea! Built in 2001, it is meant for families to live after returning from Germany for working. So far there are 70 buildings and the materails are important directly from Germany. Also lots of food and beers important to had into this amazing village. Each year for one weekend they have an Oktoberfest which is a lot of fun. Make sure you stop by for a different scene during your travels throughout Korea :)
