MALL BORJ FEZ برج فاس
Dédié au shopping et aux loisirs , Borj FEZ est le nouveau pôle urbain de la ville de Fès. Sur une superficie construite de 75.000 m2, répartie sur 3 niveaux, le mall accueille 80 boutiques, 15 restaurants, un hypermarché Carrefour, ainsi qu’un espace de jeux pour les enfants. Le projet a été conçu selon une vision novatrice, s’intègrant parfaitement à la ville, tant sur le plan fonctionnel qu’architectural. Borj FEZ jouit, de ce fait, d’un emplacement exceptionnel, situé entre l’ancienne et la nouvelle Médina et à proximité des sites touristiques.
Borj FEZ s’étend sur trois niveaux principaux plus un niveau réservé au parking. Le rez de-chaussée est dédié à l’équipement de la personne : prêt à porter, accessoire, chaussure, lingerie, culture, sport, jouet, cosmétique…Le rez-de-chaussée abrite un hypermarché Carrefour de 6.000 m2 ainsi que différents commerces et services de proximité.
A l’étage, on retrouve l’espace restauration, avec food-court et terrasses et le Fun Park, un espace de loisirs de 1.250 m2 pour les enfants.

Borj Fez was visited under the impression we could have a good day out as the mall on a budget however we found the prices within all the shops matched the UK or were in some cases higher. The shopping centre was new and reminded me of The Oracle- Reading only it wasn't as popular and it lacked the big brands.
The food within the centre is UK prices so roughly 100dirham for Pizza of 70Dirham for a Burger King. The malls information centre speak some basic English if needed and there is clean toilets in the centre. You can rent a shopping trolley with little car compartment for kids at the front like in the uk this is 10dirham per hour plus a deposite. Upstairs is a gaming centre for children you buy a card for a non refundable 5dirham then top up credit such as 30, 50 or 100Dirham this is then used on the rides such as a trampoline or pirate ball pit both costing around 20Dirham each.
Music is loud inside and it is expensive for Morocco it lacks seats and facilities for adults to sit when children area playing so although the little ones are entertained you get no rest!
Overall I was disappointed and found that it lacked any benefit to spend our time going to when we are in Morocco of all places!

C'est un projet dont l'objet est de poser une simple petite question très banale à 50 personnes et d'enregistrer leurs diverses réactions, le produit est amusant, humainement amusant, et constitue en soi un corpus d'une petite analyse sociologique et psycho-sociologique.
Le concept circule partout dans le monde; nous avons essayé de l'importer chez nous, au Maroc, et plus spécialement à Fès. Par nous je veux dire une petite cellule de travail constituée de Maha Kh qui a suggéré l'idée, de ASIL Visuals dans sa réalisation, des membres de l'Association eveil pour l'entrepreneuriat et l'initiative libre pour sa logistique, des autres amis qui étaient présents le jour du tournage pour le coup de main, Otman Elyoubi El Idrissi, Illus i'On, Youness El Issmaeli, Amine Powerman...
Ce fut un réel plaisir d'entamer une telle entreprise, j'irais jusqu'à dire que c'est une expérience particulièrement addictive; l'atmosphère du tournage était agréablement humaine, une excellente cure antistress.

The first-ever shopping center in Fez opened on May 23rd 2013. A full program to celebrate the culmination of a major project for one of the most iconic cities of the Kingdom of Morocco. A friendly street marketing device, an official opening and an evening filled with emotion ended with an exceptional fireworks offered by Petra Group to Fez.

Morocco was a place we were slightly nervous to visit. On landing our experience at the airport was nice. Finding a taxi was quite the event and getting to the Riad Fes where we stayed was a learning experience. The Riad we stayed at was in the middle of the Médina which is massive and no cars can get in. The taxi driver drops you off on the outside and you walk down these winding alleys. The Riad Fes was like staying in a tea set, incredibly beautiful. Being in the Médina is definitely different then any other place we’ve been or stayed. The food was flavorful with every bit leaving you wanting more. It seemed everything was good. Below are a few of the highlights from the places we saw and things we did.

My FIRST FULL DAY IN FEZ - MOROCCO. Here I visited the largest Medina in the world, climbed Borj Nord so see and incredible view back over Fez, saw lots of Goats and had some a big tasty Tajine.
I appreciate all of your patience with my uploading, I chose to pile up my videos and bring them back to England to free up time while I was away as I don't have the ability to edit quickly. Plus the wifi was slack over there...

SHOPPING THE FES MEDINA in MOROCCO
With our last full day in Fes, we decided to go shopping in the Fes Medina (in Morocco).
It was a pretty relaxing day winding through the streets and market, but we needed a day to relax after a number of busy long days on the road.
Our city tour of Fes was so amazing and we highly recommend visiting and trying some of the local delicacies like Pastilla or a Tajine.
The Marriott hotel Jnan Palace was a beautiful place to stay and we'd highly recommend it for all, if you're looking for a nice place outside of the Medina area. Although, our preference is to stay in a Riad within the city walls usually!
Check back in a few days for when we head to Barcelona for our last few days of this trip!
