BIKE RIDE | Daventry Country Park | Northamptonshire
Took the bike out for a ride on a mid-autumn’s day. Wait, what is mid-autumn?! LOL.
Met up with a friend for coffee and brekkie at the reservoir café then went for a ride around the country park. Stopped off in town to get some kebab and fruit before riding back.
Better than sitting on my butt or laying in bed all day, that’s for sure!

BYFIELD, UPPER HIGH STREET HISTORY - By:JOHN RUSSELL
An Oral History of Byfield. In this film John Russell explains the history of Upper High St including past characters and the building changes which have taken place over the years.
Byfield Village Hall is centrally located in the Village and has been a great asset to the people of Byfield for very many years. It is a charity run by the Byfield Village Hall Management Committee (BVHMC, Registered Charity No. 293639) whose members are trustees of the organisation.
John takes a group of lay people around the village explaining how the High Street has developed. He describes all its colourful characters who lived in and around the village and the activities which took place. He covers how domestic house numbering came about, the roads were changed and the different people of Byfield who have worked, lived and conducted business in the village. The post office has had many homes and these are all explained and illustrated with old pictures within the film.
