Alpinum Schatzalp [HD]

Das Alpinum ist ein Botanischer Alpengarten, mit ca. 5000 verschiedenen Pflanzen-Arten und Sorten aus allen Gebirgen der Welt (Alpen, Pyrenäen, Himalaya, Appalachen, Kaukasus, Drakensbergen, Neuseeländischen Alpen usw.). Bewundern Sie, wozu Kultur und Natur auf 1900 Metern fähig sind.

Mit der «Davos Inklusive Card» ist der Eintritt gratis. Sonst CHF 5.- pro Person, Kinder bis 16 Jahre in Begleitung der Eltern gratis. Eintrittskarten sind am Kiosk neben der Bahn, oder an der Hotelrezeption erhältlich. Mitglieder des Vereins Alpinum Schatzalp mit Mitgliedsausweis frei.

Davos │Schatzalp/Strela - Thomas Mann's 'Magic Mountain' Hotel

After visiting several mountain regions, I've realized that Swiss mountains have something special - they are doubtlessly high and often partly covered with huge ares of grass. In contrast to that, mountains in Germany are more made up of large forests or mountains in Austria more look like masterpieces made up of enormous giant naked rocks.

The Schatzalp is a Swiss mountain in the heartland of Davos - it is more famous because of it's alpine mountain hotel 'Schatzalp' that was also visited by the writer Arthur Conan Doyle. The German writer Thomas Mann mentioned the term 'Schatzalp' several times his legendary novel The magic mountain - definitely worth reading!

So, if you reach the top of the mountain where you deboard the 'Schatzalp rail' you are on the platform where you'll find the above mentioned 'Schatzalp hotel'. If you go in your hiking tour, you will come across the botanic garden called 'Alpinum Schatzalp' with a kind of different herbs and sorts of alpin plants. The view over Davos while touring through the mountain areas is just amazing and absolutely calming. In case you wanna step up higher, then you will later reach the Strela - another mountain peak around the 'Schatzalp area.

Maybe, if you love the pure nature - you will surely love the 'Schatzalp' mountain in Davos.'

Impressionen Bänkli Einweihung Schatzalp

Den Namen der Schatzalp kann man wortwörtlich nehmen, liegt hier doch eine ganz besondere Kostbarkeit: Im Botanischen Garten «Alpinum Schatzalp» findet man die grösste Edelweiss-Sammlung der Welt. Seit Dienstag, 4. Juli ist diese um ein besonderes Exemplar reicher – in der Form eines Flugzeugsitzes.
