Philippines Wildlife Zoo/Farm in Zambales : Botolan-Iba
Philippines Wildlife Zoo/Farm in Zambales : Botolan - Iba
We decided to take a little vacation for a few days. We found a quiet little place in Botolan, Zambales. We spent three days and two night just enjoying ourselves and just relaxing. We had the place all to ourselves. We did some sight seeing in a little town called Iba. We also visited a little zoo and old church way up in the Mt. We also checked out the exotic fish market.
Below is a Link to C & J Sunset View Resort that we stayed at.

Wow!! An expression when you first reached the farm of Swiss National Martin Zoller and his Filipina wife Juvy, situated at San Juan, Botolan, Zambales less than 20 minutes away from the capital Iba, Botolan Wildlife Farm is the place for the whole family to escape to.
The Zoller's develop a seven (7) hectare farm into a mini-zoo and wildlife park, which is recently opened for public viewing and explorations. They preserve and breed wild and endangered animals native to the Philippines and from many countries in the world. There are at least twenty-nine (29) different species of animals in the farm like tiger, deer, ostrich, snake, crocodile, peacock, wild boars, among others.
Botolan Wildlife Farm, the first in Zambales, is one of the tourist spot of Botolan. The farm serves as a center for conservation of flora and fauna, and is also a home to a natural ecosystem of different plants and orchids. This farm is a great place to discover and appreciate diverse and unusual creatures, and to learn about different species by watching their behavior can offer us a new insight for ourselves.
The owners plan to expand the farm by constructing a lagoon for kids, horseback-riding area, function hall for seminars and other activities, playground and others.
They also offer accommodation facilities in reasonable prices such as family rooms, picnic huts, restaurant, and multi-function rooms.

Botolan Wildlife Farm Pt 3
We kind of stumbled across this place. This wildlife farm is owned by Martin Zoller and his wife. Check out their facebook account if you'd like to find out more about what they are doing.
Martin and his wife are doing something truly amazing here. Martin is from Switzerland and moved here at age 20 in 1985. He's been building and developing this property with his wife ever since.
They have approximately 15 hectare that they've turned into a wildlife refuge, and zoo. They offer discounted tours to schools and charity groups, plus regular tours.
They are also working with the Philippine Department of Natural Resources to help increase species of animals that are at risk in the Philippines, like the Philippine deer which you'll see in these videos.
They are also running a high end pig farm with the express purpose of developing a sustainable business for local Filipino families. He imported the best pigs from the US and Switzerland, cross breeds them and is now marketing a variety of pork products internationally. All the proceeds of this project are being reinvested to help local Filipino families establish their own pig farms with this breed of pig.
We ran into them because we were looking at a nearby property he owns.
