SA Life 2014 Episode 31 - Part 3
Grant Cameron takes a look back at a film shot in Rundle Street just a few days before Christmas in the 1920’s. Firstly, you can see how busy it was; of course, the city was the only place you could shop so everyone had to come to town to get their gifts.
But what also caught Grant’s eye was something that wasn’t there - no obvious Christmas decorations, no baubles, no tinsel, no Christmas trees and not even a sign of Santa! Decorating our public spaces at Christmas Time is a fad that’s grown over recent decades, not a long-standing tradition as many might think.
Michael Keelan finds a host of gift ideas for garden lovers to find under the tree. Nurseries and Garden Centres are always great places to visit and if you’ve got someone on your Christmas list who loves their outdoor spaces, you might be inspired by some of the things Michaels found.
Briony Hume discovers how to add a bit of bounce to your holidays as summer comes rolling in! ‘Bounce!’ is the name of this absolutely huge indoor trampoline venue in Marleston, newly-opened and ready to put the spring into all sorts of occasions.
Kelly Golding takes a tour around one of our states most iconic wineries – Seppletsfield. But this isn’t just your average tour… Kelly joins Segway Sensations for a look around their historic vineyards on board a Segway – a two wheeled, self-balancing electric vehicle.
It’s the most fun you’ll have on 2 wheels!
It’s always a proud moment when you make your own Christmas pudding but sometimes a hot steamed pudding isn’t all that suitable for our Aussie climate. Rosa Matto shows us how easy it is to make a Christmas Pudding that’s really chilled!
Rosa’s Iced Chocolate Christmas Pudding with glace fruits and almonds is a delicious alternative to a traditional favourite and will have your family and friends queuing up for a second serve!
This is our final program for Series 2014 and we wish our viewers a safe and happy Christmas and look forward to presenting our new series when SALife TV returns in 2015.
