The Tower is located near the corner of Rt. 32 (River Road) and Lurgan Road, a few miles south of New Hope, Pa. Bowmans Hill 23MAY2015
I have spent years looking for a yellow lady-slipper (cypripedium calculus), and I finally found (4) of them on Saturday May 23rd, 2015 near New Hope, PA and Washington's Crossing…the place is called Bowman Hill Wildflower Preserve. These beauties were found on the Medicinal Trail.

Bowman's Tower (Fall Foliage View)
Bowman's Hill Tower in Washington Crossing Historic Park (Bucks County) rises 125 feet in the air and offers a 15-mile view on a clear day of the surrounding countryside and Delaware River.
The Tower was built in 1931-32 to commemorate what may have been a lookout point for General George Washington's troops. The tower is located in Washington Crossing Historic Park, which preserves the place where Washington led his troops across the Delaware River in 1776 to make a surprise attack on Hessian troops in Trenton.

This is a still photo study for a future HD video project on the Brandywine Battlefield Trail at Birmingham Hill. The trail is the result of a cooperative effort by Birmingham Township, Chester County (PA) and The Brandywine Conservancy, who recently acquired the historic property located in the center of the Battlefield area. Setting the resolution at 480p (right side of menu bar below the screen) is recommended for best quality viewing.

Karen Brown's The Inn at Montchanin Village, Montchanin, USA
Welcome to Karen Brown's World of Travel
We would like to share with you one of our recommended hotels in Delaware
The Inn at Montchanin Village & Spa in the town of Montchanin
Inns like this whose reputation spreads far and wide, where a planned stay is greeted with envy by your friends, and whose brochure speaks quality before you've even booked your reservation are the inns around which you want to plan your trip.
You'll not be disappointed in this one. Fortunately there's so much to do in the area with Winterthur, Longwood Gardens, the Brandywine River Museum, Hagley, Nemours, etc., that you just have to stay for several nights.
Montchanin makes up a village, with many buildings surrounded by profusely blooming flower gardens providing accommodations, all displaying class and great taste whether they are luxurious or more simple.
The bedsheets alone would be worth a visit and you will love the marble bathrooms, the living rooms, the TVs, the air conditioning, and the mini-kitchens.
The great room in the barn reception building has been reconstructed with hand-hewn beams, a large fireplace, and several sitting areas and is a great place for an aperitif before dinner in the inn's restaurant, Krazy Kat's, with its whimsical cat décor and memorable food.
A full service spa opened in 2008.
Listed on the National Register of Historic Places, the inn is located 5 miles north west of Wilmington, Delaware and 35 minutes south of the Philadelphia airport.
