Boynton Canyon Vortex in Sedona Arizona. Felt the most amazing energy!
Beth and Deva are on one of the peak discussing the area and the vortex and how it feels when all of a sudden, here hair stands on end like its full of static and out of the palm of Deva's hands fires static electricity. If you listen carefully you can hear it. Most amazing experience myself and Beth has had.
Boynton Canyon Hike
One of the best-loved Sedona hikes is the one that leads us up Boynton Canyon, and in this short clip, Dave gives us a glimpse of its mysterious charms.
If you hike the entire length of the box canyon, the trip is roughly 6.1 miles long. The hike will offer some stunning red rock views, and a variety of niches in terms of flora and fauna.
Situated in the Red Rock Mountain wilderness, the trail starts by initially skirting Enchantment Resort. The famous, and considered sacred by many, Kachina Woman rock formation is easily accessed by a short loop walk about a quarter of a mile from the parking lot. Many in the metaphysical community consider this to be a vortex site, alongside another unnamed rock formation further down the trail to the west.
The hike winds forward, running parallel to a (usually) dry watercourse. Alongside the path are pine, oak, and maple. The drumming sound of woodpeckers at work often echoes around the peach and cream canyon walls.
This is a relatively level path, with plenty of shade. It tends to get busy, so if you want to experience it at its most magical, the earlier you start walking, the more likely you are to have a peaceful hike.

Wilson Mountain Hike - Sedona, Arizona
Wilson Mountain is the highest point above the beautiful Sedona red rock area in Arizona.
From the top of the mesa there is a magnificent panoramic view of the Oak Creek valley and the many prominent rock formations surrounding Sedona. The trailhead is just north of town, and rises gradually the first two miles, before steep switchbacks take you around to the north side of the mountain where you enter a forest of towering pine, oak, and aspen trees.

The trail to top of the Bear Mountain is steep in spots, mostly unshaded but offers spectacular views along the entire hike. It's one of those it's the journey, not the destination, kind of hikes! A locals favorite.

Sedona Vortex Tour - Boynton, Sedona Airport, Cathedral Rock and Bell Rock In One Day
Sedona vortex energies are some of the most powerful in the world. Experiencing the vortex energies and integrating the Divine light and healing can help you to increase your awareness, heal, and tune into higher levels of light and expanded states of consciousness.
If you have been to Sedona before and experienced any of the vortexes you may have noticed that they offer a heightened sense of awareness.
Really, the entire town of Sedona has a new age and metaphysical lens into Divine Consciousness that is unlike anywhere else in North America.
Learn more about the Sedona Vortex locations here: :
In this video, we take on the challenge of visiting four of Sedona's most popular vortexes in one day to experience a beautiful integration of all the divine vortex energies.
First, we go to the Boynton Canyon.
The Boynton Canyon Vortex is located on the West side of town accessible by going N on Dry Creek Road and making a left at the stop sign, or from FR525.
A short 10 minute drive out of town on a paved road and you will find a Red Rock Pass required parking area. Be sure to buy a parking pass for the Red Rock parking area as you are not only supportin the Sedona, AZ trails but you are also making sure you don't get a parking ticket!
A quick hike with a steep scramble at the top leads you to the Boynton Vortex. In the saddle between two red-rock spiers, the energy is uplifting and strongest near the juniper pine tree at the center.
On the east you have Kachina Rock and on the west, the shorter rock spier is Flute Rock.
Second, we headed over to the Sedona airport vortex.
From Highway 89A you go south on N. Airport Road, just East of the Whole Foods in Sedona.
Less than a mile up the road you will see a parking area on your left. There are about 15 parking spots and this is definitely the closest vortex with the shortest walk from the parking area to the high energy area.
If you climb the mesa all the way to the Sedona airport, you went too far!
At the airport vortex there are two ways to get to the peak, the easier trail to the left, or you can scramble up the hill straight ahead.
There are also several additional hikes available from the airport vortex parking area. You can loop around several of the mesa's in the area and the 360 degree views of the Verde Valley are unrivaled.
From here you can see Boynton, Bell and Cathedral rock... Cathedral being the most difficult to spot as it can be hidden behind the airport mesa depending on where you are standing.
Third stop on the Sedona Vortex day tour is Cathedral Rock.
The Cathedral Rock Vortex is possibly the most impressive of all the Sedona Vortexes based on the shear height and size of the pinnacles that rise above.
Most people don't realize that the vortexes are actually located a short climb up from the arroyo on what is called Buddah's Beach.
It is not required to climb all the way to Cathedral Rock to experience the vortex energies!
This is a common misconseption.
Look for the twisted trunks of the juniper pine trees to signify that you have reached the vortex.
Finally, continuing south towards the Village of Oak Creek you reach the last vortex in the tour.... Bell Rock.
There is parking on the south and north side of Bell Rock and if you are looking for the shorter hike, be sure to park on the north side.
With its distinctive bell shape and layers of red rock leading towards its peak, there are potentially hours or days of hiking and exploring around Bell Rock alone.
The vortex energies at Bell Rock are noticeable at all levels of the rock formation, from the base to the peak, you will be able to experience the blissful phenomena that is the Sedona vortex energies.
It is important to remember that these are not the only vortexes in Sedona but they are the most popular and accessible.

Fay Canyon Trail Sedona AZ
Good canopy and cool canyon bottom make for an excellent hike. Trail is a loose red powder. Some rocky parts where the trail crosses an old dry/seasonal creek bed. Watch out for bears.
Fay Canyon Trail is a 2.6 mile moderately trafficked out and back trail located near Sedona, Arizona that features a waterfall and is good for all skill levels. The trail offers a number of activity options and is accessible year-round. Dogs are also able to use this trail but must be kept on leash.
