Eagle Viewing Raft Tour
Squamish is home to North America's largest bald eagle population. Reporter Nicole Fitzgerald joins a Sunwolf Eagle View Float tour for a front row seat to viewing more than 60 eagles in a single one-hour adventure. No trees to get in the way, peacefully floating down the river without disturbing the Eagles, guests learn about nature's delicate balance; the connection between the glaciers that feed the river, the salmon that come to spawn and the eagles that stay to feed. Misty morning landscapes, majestic birds roosting and in flight, lunch served fireside at the Sunwolf lodge.
Welcome to Squamish: Bald Eagle Capital of the World!
Imagine a gently meandering river, breathtaking scenery, waters teeming with wild spawning salmon and the world’s largest gathering of bald eagles soaring overhead.
Join us for truly unforgettable Squamish experience: The Wilderness & Eagle Viewing Float.
2014 Fraser Valley Bald Eagle Festival - Harrison Mills, BC, Canada
Harrison the bald eagle hosts this overview of the 2014 Fraser Valley Bald Eagle Festival, held each year along the banks of the Harrison River in British Columbia's beautiful Fraser Valley.
Every November, thousands of bald eagles migrate south from Alaska, stopping along the way to feast on the salmon that come up the Fraser and Harrison Rivers.
A highlight of the festival is the release, at The Sandpiper Golf Course, of a young eagle that was rescued and rehabilitated.
One of the festival's popular locations is beautiful Tapadera Estates, where over 2,000 visitors came to view the eagles out on the flats this year.

Awesome climb up into the alpine.About 14km worth of climbing taking you from sea level to almost 1600m.

Beach in Brackendale, a group of 6 of us would jet boat up the Squamish river to Baynes Island ecological reserve where we would asses the flora and fauna inventory and park boundary. It's nice when the road to work is actually a river.
Eagle Mountain - Woodfibre Gas Pipeline Project- A Visual Simulation
Our proposed Eagle Mountain – Woodfibre Gas Pipeline Project is currently being reviewed by the BC Oil and Gas Commission and BC Environmental Assessment Office. If approved, we will expand a portion of our existing natural gas distribution system that was constructed in 1990 to serve the Sunshine Coast and Vancouver Island. The project will involve adding new pipe beginning north of Coquitlam and ending at the existing Woodfibre industrial site southwest of Squamish. In addition to adding new pipe, we’ll also need to upgrade our existing compressor stations in Coquitlam and Port Mellon, and build a new compressor station in Squamish.
