Bakers Park is situated 0.35 of a mile west of Newton Abbot in South Devon. Most of the park is flat and perfect for recreational activities and walking the dog. On the south side of the River Lemon, which runs through the centre of the park, is a steeply banked section with steps leading to the highest point. Bradley Manor is a delightful National Trust property, open to the public, and accessible via Bakers Park.

Killerton House, National Trust, Devon [4k]
Killerton is an 18th-century house near Exeter in Devon. In 1944 it was given to the National Trust by British politician Sir Richard Acland.
Sir Richard was was one of the founding members of the British Common Wealth Party. He was an advocate of public land ownership and he gave his Killerton and Holnicote estates to the National Trust out of principle, and also to ensure that the estates remained safe and unspoiled for all time.

7828 Odney Manor: Storming Through West Somerset
As a little project I decided to make a compilation video of GWR 'Manor' Class 4-6-0 No. 7828 'Odney Manor' at work on the West Somerset Railway using footage I have taken from December 2012 until the present day.
The manors were built in Swindon works in two batches, The first 20 manors were built under the Great Western Railway from 1938 to 1939 until the outbreak of World War 2 stop a further batch of 20 manors being built. A further 10 manors were built in 1950 under British Rail. Because manors were lighter than the Granges they had more route availability which allowed them to work most on the Cambrian route and in the south west between Newton Abbot and Plymouth and over the Tamar Bridge into Cornwall. By 1959, 21 of the manors were based in Wales working the Cambrian Coast Express from Shrewsbury. The manors started to be withdrawn in 1963. Out of the 30 Manors built, just 9 survived into preservation.
7828 'Odney Manor' was built in 1950 as part of the second batch of manors built at Swindon and spent most of its 15 year life with British Rail on the Cambrian network in Wales. It was then sent to Barry Scrap Yard before being purchased and moved to the East Lancs Railway until finally being purchased by the West Somerset Railway where in July 2011 7828 was re-named Norton Manor for a short term in honour of the Norton Manor Army Camp near Taunton.
The video features 7828 'Odney Manor' at various points along the line doing what it does best, the shots are in location order from Bishops Lydeard to Minehead and back.

Port of Dartmouth Royal Regatta 2010 On the Rails
The Royal Regatta at the Port of Dartmouth is an event I never fail to miss each year.
I did a lot of filming over the three main event days of things happening on the rails, in the water and up in the sky.
This first video is on the happenings of the rails. The first mainline diesels are two British Rail 47 classes. These hauled the English Riviera Statesman from Sheffield on Thursday 26th .
The second mainline diesel was D67005 Queen's Messenger which travelled from Eastleigh on Friday 27th with The Torbay Flyer.
Also we mustn't forget GWR 4200 Class 4277 Hercules & GWR 7800 Class 7827 Lydham Manor working very hard on the Dartmouth Steam Railway throughout the summer months.

The ill fated Bristolian March 28 2009
A planned steam rail tour from Solihull to Bristol Temple Meads ended prematurely when the loco failed at Oxford. A few snatched shots at Solihull and at a very windy Didcot where the engine disappeared into the Great Western Society site not to be seen again. The tour continued diesel hauled to Bristol and return but was all in all a very disappointing outing.
The Teign Valley Wanderer -- 7802 -- 20th January 1996
7802 Bradley Manor -- 20th January 1996 - on The Teign Valley Wanderer railtour. This ran from Worcester to Newton Abbot with 7802 and returned with Class 47 diesel 47732. These videos were taken on the outward run at Abbotswood (near Worcester), Bedminster, Whiteball and Teignmouth.
Note -- This video was recorded with an analogue camcorder, hence the poor quality.
