Epic UK Scuba Diving in Poole, Dorset, Spring 2019 - Branksome Chine & Alum Chine - 4K

Showcasing some of the UK's shore diving off Poole & Bournemouth's sandy Blue Flag beaches. Filmed exclusively during May and June 2019, when the visibility was somewhat limited between 3-5m maximum. We were mapping the Alum Chine site at the time, to expand the local diving options beyond the already regularly dived Branksome Chine site. We were amazed at what we found as there were rocky reefs beyond the old outfall pipes, replete with aquatic life. It just goes to show what can be seen in green water locations, and when the coastal environment is protected from illegal fishing.

The whole of the UK has a highly protected Marine environment, and the Dorset and South West coastal areas have several MPAs.
