Brasilia Drone Flight: Brasília, inaugurated as Brazils capital in 1960, is a planned city distinguished by its white, modern architecture, chiefly designed by Oscar Niemeyer. Laid out in the shape of an airplane, its “fuselage” is the Monumental Axis, 2 wide avenues flanking a massive park. In the “cockpit” is Praça dos Três Poderes, named for the 3 branches of government surrounding it. The iconic Congreso Nacional features 2 domed chambers split by twin towers. Facing the Supremo Tribunal Federal is Palácio do Planalto, the Brazilian presidential offices. Nearby is the Cathedral of Brasília, a crownlike structure with concrete ribs supporting stained glass. The adjacent, igloo-shaped Museu Nacional displays temporary art exhibits. The Brasília TV Tower offers panoramic views from its observation deck. BRASILIA VLOG( BRAZIL)
This vlog was made while I was in Brazil in April 2017. Here, I tell you a little bit about Brazil's capital and my hometown: Brasilia! You can see some of the touristy sights like the National congress, the cathedral, the president's office, etc. and even some tips on where to go eat.
Please, like the video and subscribe to Le Monde D English Channel for more travel tips!
Travel Brasilia, Brazil - The National Congress Building in Brasilia
Take a tour of National Congress Building in Brasilia, Brazil -- part of the World's Greatest Attractions series by GeoBeats.
In the city of Brasilia stands the National Congress Building of Brazil.
The Brazilian Congress assembles here twice a year to address their governmental duties.
The two modern half spheres house the Federal Senate and the Chamber of Deputies.
The building sits amidst lush green parks and lovely ponds.
It has been acclaimed for its unusual, innovative and appealing design.
Oscar Niemeyer, the eminent Australian architect, is the creative visionary behind this contemporary structure.
Brasilia Travel Guide - Brazilian Astonishing Experience
Brasilia Travel Guide - Brazilian Astonishing Experience
Brasília, the capital of Brazil and the seat of government of the Distrito Federal, is a planned city. Inaugurated in 1960 in the Central Highlands of Brazil, it is a masterpiece of modernist architecture listed as a World Heritage Site by UNESCO and attracts architecture aficionados worldwide. Brasilia is also an important transportation hub for travel within Brazil.
The basic structure of Brasilia was completed in just four years, from 1956 to 1960, under the leadership of President Juscelino Kubitschek, with the slogan fifty years of progress in five, and the city is in a sense a memorial to him. The cathedral has six columns representing two hands reaching up to almighty heaven.
Temperatures seldom hit extremes. 17°C to 28°C (63 to 82°F) are the average lows and highs, but it can get as low as 1°C (34°F) in winter and get as hot as 34°C (92°F) in September/October. In dry season (August–September) the city's landscape, normally very green, becomes desert-like and everyone must drink lots of water to prevent the unpleasant effects of dehydration.
Official tourist info can be obtained from State Secretariat of Tourism of the Distrito Federal (in Portuguese). There are also stands in the airport, the new rodoviaria and the Praça dos Três Poderes. The Three Powers Square (Praça dos Três Poderes) at the eastern end of the Monumental Axis. Includes the seats of the country's 3 highest authorities: the Congress, the Presidential Palace (called Palácio do Planalto) and the Supreme Court. The axis itself is aligned such that on April 21 (Tiradentes Day, marking the death of the Brazilian independence martyr), the sun rises precisely between the two towers of Congress. The bronze statue of two abstract figures is named Os Candangos and represents the pioneering spirit of the workers who built the city. There's also a blind justice statue by the Supreme Court, a small museum about Juscelino Kubitschek, the Pantheon, the Eternal Flame monument, and a model, built to scale, of Brasilia itself, in an underground space.
Brasilia does not have a typical, regional cuisine. Nevertheless, restaurants serve food from many Brazilian states, as well as international fare. Most of the city's accommodation is located at the Hotel Sectors (SHS and SHN), two central areas located on both sides of Eixo Monumental. During weekdays, hotels are usually busy due to the capital's political activity and it is advisable to book in advance. Typical prices are R$200 for a double room and R$95 for a single. Most ot the hotels have an off-price for the weekends.
With long distances and harrowing six-lane highways connected by spaghetti junctions, Brasília presents challenges for walkers; consider renting a car or ride shares. You'll find a lively city hidden behind the futuristic facade. It's not only a pilgrimage for architecture buffs but also foodies, night owls and those seeking a unique travel experience.

Brasilia, a city close to the sky, was completed as an open space, not a tall building. The wide margin left for the sky and the water, the National Museum is like a landing ship. Luckily, the city's architects and pioneers, Lucio Costa and Oscar Niemeyer, have built this museum among the nation's most concentrated public institutions. The museum's priority is to listen to the various voices of society. I made a wonderful boat by carving a tree. What if it falls? It's fine because it is fixed very strongly. Our tribes do fishing every day. But teaching kids is harder than fishing. Keep quiet. Let's be quiet so everyone can hear the explanation. Did not you hear that? Come out and explain it. This student does not seem to understand you. It's okay. Does not matter. The teacher will tell this student one more time. Then this student will explain it to all of you again. I heard it. Do you get it? The teacher, whether Amazon or Brasilia, is a difficult job. We are all Brazilian. So I participated in this exhibition so that students who will lead the future can see and respect the culture of Aboriginal people. It was good to experience Aboriginal culture. It is also good to see the tribal tradition being preserved through ceremonial events. I did not know about this culture in the meantime. I met Amazon's blue nights where the child's pretty eyes and starlight are pouring in unexpected places.
[Brazil: Google Translator]

PGMA arrival in Brasilia Brazil
Brasilia Military Air Base
(Juscelino Kubitschek International Airport)
June 23, 2009
President Gloria Macapagal Arroyo arrived at the Brasilia Military Airbase on the afternoon of June 23 (early morning of June 24, Manila time) for the second leg of her state visit to Brazil.
It was a sentimental and monumental event as the Brazilian government gave the Philippine president full planeside military honors complete with all the 21-gun salute. This is the first time in almost 50 years that a higher ranking incumbent Philippine official has visited Brazil. The presidents father, then Vice President Diosdado Macapagal, attended the inauguration of the newly built capital city of Brasilia in April 1960.
Shortly after her arrival, President Arroyo proceeded to Brasilia Alvorada Park Hotel where she was received by General Manager Jesus Ribeiro Junior. She then met with the Filipino community for a meaningful salu-salo.
The president is expected to meet with Brazilian President Luis Inacio Lula da Silva to discuss about cooperations between the two nations to further improve ties.
Brazils Bolsa Familia program, which has helped over 12 million Brazilian families out of poverty in the last years, and their long running ethanol program, is among the centerpiece of the three-days, three-city swing that will also focus on agricultural, energy and trade agreements.

A national park is a park in use for conservation purposes. Often it is a reserve of natural, semi-natural, or developed land that a sovereign state declares or owns. Although individual nations designate their own national parks differently, there is a common idea: the conservation of wild nature for posterity and as a symbol of national pride.
An international organization, the International Union for Conservation of Nature (IUCN), and its World Commission on
Protected Areas, has defined National Park as its Category II type of protected areas.
While this type of national park had been proposed previously, the United States established the first public park or pleasuring-ground for the benefit and enjoyment of the people, Yellowstone National Park, in 1872. Although Yellowstone was not officially termed a national park in its establishing law, it was always termed such in practice and is widely held to be the first and oldest national park in the world. Some would say that the first official
national park to be designated as such at its creation was Mackinac Island, legislated in 1875. Australia's Royal
National Park, established in 1879, was the world's third official national park. In 1895 ownership of Mackinac Island was transferred to the State of Michigan as a state park and national park status was consequently lost. As a result Australia's Royal National Park is by some considerations the second oldest national park now in existence.
The largest national park in the world meeting the IUCN definition is the Northeast Greenland National Park, which was established in 1974. According to the IUCN, 6,555 national parks worldwide met its criteria in 2006. IUCN is still discussing the parameters of defining a national park.
National parks are almost always open to visitors. Most national parks provide outdoor recreation and camping opportunities as well as classes designed to educate the public on the importance of conservation and the natural wonders of the land in which the national park is located.

Jericoacoara & Paradise in Preá - Travel Deeper Brazil (Ep. 12)
A perfect day of adventure in Jericoacoara and Preá Beach in Northeastern Brazil -
After a long, seven-hour bus journey from Fortaleza to Jericoacoara, I arrived at the Rancho do Peixe Pousada (hotel) on Preá Beach where I fell in love with the private beach bungalow right on the beach.
The next morning I took my first Kitesurfing lesson right on property and was completely hooked after a few short hours.
Thanks to the favorable weather and wind conditions, Jericoacoara and Prea Beach is surrounded by some of the most popular coastline for Kitesurfing in Brazil.
From kitesurfing lessons at Rancho do Peixe, I hitched a ride in a buggy, across the beach and through the sand dunes of Jericoacoara National Park to the town of Jericoacoara.
I strolled around the quiet village for the afternoon before making my way up the giant sand dune at the edge of town to watch the sun set behind the Atlantic Ocean.
It was a beautiful day and well worth the trip from Fortaleza to Jericoacoara.
If you ever travel to Brazil and visit Northeastern Brazil, I highly recommend coming up and meeting Jeri and staying at Rancho do Peixe!
