The trail is equally a delight for natural experiences. On the third day of our trekking, we leave our luggage in hotel at Ghorepani for Poon Hill excursion before dawn to catch the spectacular sun rise. Poon Hill is one of the best viewpoints in this trek for a sun-rise view and mountain vista. Mount Dhaulagiri, the Annapurna Range and Mount Machhapuchhre (Fishtail Mountain) to the northern part and the Butterfly Peaks in the far western part are all visible from atop Poon Hill. (SHOULD YOU SAY SOMETHING ABOUT WHAT YOU SEE WHEN YOU REACH ABC, in this part?). Finding yourself in the base giant Annapurna I (8091m) with 360 degree Mountain View is terrifically beautiful that is beyond your imagination that is an unforgettable lifetime mountain holiday experience in Nepal.
Hot springs
There is a natural hot spring near Jhinu Danda, you can cleanse yourself spiritually in natural hot springs with bathing areas in the lap of the mountains. Locals believe that the waters have a healing quality that ease away your aches and pains.
People and Culture
The locals we will encounter in Annapurna Base Camp Route are mix ethnic groups; there are Brahmans and Chhetris in lower elevations and Mongoloid Himalayan people in Himalaya. Mostly there are Gurung and Magar people in the area, famous for Gurkha regiment. If you would like to explore more cultural and traditional heritages in Himalaya then Wilderness Excursion suggest you to trek to Langtang, Manaslu, and Everest region. But no doubt that Annapurna is the best for scenery as some 55000 people trek there every year.

Sunrise View on Mountain from Sarangkot Peak View Point Pokhara, Nepal | Holidays Tour and Travel.
Sarangkot is the mainly popular tourist destination from where the traveler can take pleasure in the great sight of the Pokhara Valley and the wonderful view of the mountains. Sarangkot is only 5 km from Lake Side, Pokhara. Sarangkot is the peak view point for a sunrise and it is just 1592m high. Sarangkot is 5 degrees cooler than Pokhara. Sarangkot can be reached without difficulty by 45 minutes by a car ride to the top from Pokhara and then 45 minutes hike up to the main sight point.
Sarangkot, Pokhara is the small hilltop which is famous for its breath taking view of sunrise and Annapurna range and Fishtail (Virgin Mountain). Annapurna trek is a massif in the Himalayas (29,000ft) in north-central Nepal. This is very important in Nepal trekking or Nepal hiking. The Annapurna Conservation Area or Annapurna base camp trek is home to several Everest world class treks, including Annapurna Sanctuary and Annapurna Circuit. Annapurna lies along with the Mount Everest (the Himalayas). Everest Mountain, conquering which is dream for all hikers. Annapurna trekking is however nonetheless easier than climbing Everest. Rather it holds a tragic fatality rate.
There are two ways to catch-up the supreme morning on top of Sunrise Mountain view, the eternal play of light and darkness. If you want to hike to the place, you should start in the afternoon. In about 3 hours of the uphill, but beautiful walk with forests, birds and scenes of Pokhara city valley and its surrounds, you can reach Sarangkot. In that case, you can view the sunset as well. But, if you just want to make it to the place to view sunrise in the morning, you can drive from the lakeside early at 5 o’clock.
From here, you can see a panoramic sweep of Himalayan peaks, from Dhaulagiri (8167m) in the west to the perfect pyramid that is Machhapuchhare (6997m) and the rounded peak of Annapurna II (7937m) in the east. Most people come here at dawn or dusk, when the sun picks out the peaks in brilliant colours.

Machhapuchhre Himal view from Pokhara, Nepal
Koche Nepal Presents :-
Machhapuchhre Himal view from Pokhara
Post Production:- Koche Multimedia Pvt. Ltd.
Machhapuchhre ( 'fishtail'), is a mountain in the Annapurna Himalayas of north central Nepal. It is revered by the local population as particularly sacred to the god Shiva, and hence is off limits to climbing.
Location:
Machapuchare is at the end of a long spur ridge, coming south out of the main backbone of the Annapurna Himalayas, which forms the eastern boundary of the Annapurna Sanctuary. The Sanctuary is a favorite trekking destination, and the site of the base camps for the South Face of Annapurna and for numerous smaller objectives. The peak is about 25 km (16 mi) north of Pokhara, the main town of the region.
Notable features:
Due to its southern position in the range, and the particularly low terrain that lies south of the Annapurna Himalayas, Machapuchare commands tremendous vertical relief in a short horizontal distance. This, combined with its steep, pointed profile, make it a particularly striking peak, despite a lower elevation than some of its neighbors. Its double summit resembles the tail of a fish, hence the name meaning fish's tail in Nepalese. It is also nicknamed the Matterhorn of Nepal.
Climbing history:
Machapuchare has never been climbed to its summit. The only attempt was in 1957 by a British team led by Lieutenant Colonel Jimmy Roberts. Climbers Wilfrid Noyce and A. D. M. Cox climbed to within 150 m (492 ft) of the summit via the north ridge, to an approximate altitude of 22,793 ft (6,947 m). They did not complete the ascent, as they had promised not to set foot on the actual summit.[1] Since then, the mountain has been declared sacred, and is now closed to climbers.

Nepal Annapurna Machupuchare-Fishtail
Pokhara is the start and end of the trekking paradies.
This view is the idyll you started. Go out towards the Phewa Lake, take a deep breath and listen to the silence.
No Birds, no wind, nothing.
[Only my music... ;)]
As when the lights go out, a bike cycles along...
The Annapurna Massiv is nearly 40 km long as the pic-range shows, from the Dhaulagiri to Manaslu Massive... (both contains 8 km peaks) and the greatest visiable height difference of the world, more than 6 km from the rice fields to scraping the sky...
The landmark is the Machupuchare (6996 m), a Holy mountain, which is never climbed until now, even by Reinhold Messner. His form like a fishtail gives everything in Pokhara its name...
Take a sunset a boat trip on the Phewa Lake...
It is one of my magic moments as I described in my book...
All could be found as an enclosure to my book Nepal - Tibet (ISBN 978-3-38334-8772-9). This book is the first German mixture of an author, musician and fotograf, pictures and music are on an extra CD.
The sliding between this raw shots is perfect in my shows, projected on a 6 m screen...
Watch out your cinema... ;-)
Anamarvis Nepal- Trekking Annapurna (Poon Hill)
Hey there!
This is a short video with some of the things I have been seeing for the past 5 days.
The route was as follows:
1st day: Nayapul- Ulleri (about 6-7 hours walking). I thought this day I was going to die. I still cannot believe I made it up all those stairs.
At the beginning I was impressed with the views, but as I kept walking they were even better and better.
2nd Day: Ulleri-Ghorepani (around 5 hours) + Poon Hill (another hour).
This day I woke up very very sick. With a very bad cold. I still made it to Ghorepani, even though I had to stop and recover every 5-10 minutes. It was so hard to only be able to breathe from my mouth, but hey! I made it up the hill! I could not see anything on the first day because it was very cloudy, but I was able to see the mountains from my hostel the following morning.
3rd Day: Ghorepani (Poon Hill).
I decided to stay here an extra day to recover from my cold. I had fever and obviously I was not gonna make it if i walked that sick. It went well, I spent the whole day in bed, having hot tea with honey and soups. The lady at the hotel (Kamala Lodge) really looked after me, very nice people.
4th Day: Ghorepani- Ghandruk (another 6 hours walk).
This day was much easier as it was most of the time down-hill. I really loved all the views and all the animals we found on the way.
5th Day: Ghandruk-Nayapul (about 4 hours walk).
Then took the bus back to Pokhara!
Some people suggested that I should have got a guide for this, as it could be dangerous, but I have felt completely comfortable doing the whole thing on my own.
Unfortunately, my contact lenses broke 2 days before the trekking so from now on I have to wear my glasses (exciting). I also got a cold and fever, but I made it!!! At some point this week I thought God was testing my limits, but at the same time He gave me so many beautiful views, amazing people, knowledge and insight, so I am grateful anyways!
Even though this was not in my plans I have enjoyed it a lot, it has proven that I am (and anyone is) capable of doing much more than we can think of. That there are no limitations and that people are good and kind.
I am a bit upset cause I should have been teaching for the past week, but I tried to embrace change as much as I can. Unfortunately, the school is closed for holidays and they will be back next week, so hopefully I will get to teach and learn from them then.
As for the following days, I will be in Pokhara! Might do a Reiki healing treatment, massages, yoga and meditation and might go to see the temple in Pokhara, then Ill head to my destination: Shishagat Village!
Stay blessed. Be kind. Be humble and smile!!
Love you.
