Russia returns Ukraine’s Navy vessels captured last year
Russia returns three ships of the Ukrainian Navy that it had captured in November 2018. Actually, it's been exactly one year since the FSB Border Guard detained the vessels and their crews in the Kerch Strait near the occupied Crimea. Russian Foreign Ministry reported that on November 18.
The ships are to be tugged to the Ukrainian coastline over the next few days. The passage took place in the neutral waters.
As is known, Russia captured two artillery boats and a tug boat in the Kerch Strait in November 2018. Three Ukrainian sailors were wounded, as the Russian fighters opened fire on the Ukrainian ships. The Russian side claimed that the Ukrainian vessels illegally entered Russian domestic waters. All 24 crew members safely returned to Ukraine in September 2019.

Police brutality at Morocco port
I was crossing the port at the city of Tangier in Morocco when I saw this taking place. A police officer abusing a man out in the open in front of everyone so I secretly began recording. I finally was allowed to cross through and then a man came and kept trying to tell me to stop recording or else I might get arrested. I finally understood him and complied and then left the scene. I don't know what happened to that man.

Ted Cruz Begs Steven Mnuchin For ANOTHER Tax Break For Millionaires
Republican Senator Ted Cruz believes that the top 1% are still paying too much in taxes, and he’s asking Treasury Secretary Steve Mnuchin to change how capital gains are taxed. This move would cost the US more than $100 billion over the next ten years, and 90% of the savings would be concentrated within the top 1%. This appalling, but not surprising, as Ring of Fire’s Farron Cousins explains.

There's no question that there's lots of problems facing this country today. I mean there's student loan debt crisis, the crisis down there at the border with children being locked in cages, a US citizens actually now also being rounded up just because they look for, and even if they've got a passport and you know, if they were born here in the United States, we're still rounding them up. So we've got those problems. We've got a trade war that's hurting the US economy. But Ted Cruz isn't concerned about any of that. Ted Cruz is concerned about the real problems facing this country and those problems happen to all be the same. Rich people are still paying too much money in taxes and Dang it, ted Cruz is leading the crusade to save these poor, oppressed one percenters because the tax cut they got two years ago simply wasn't enough.
According to Ted Cruz and 20 other Republicans who signed onto his stupid little letter to treasury secretary Steve Mnuchin, begging him to adjust capital gains to inflation. Now if that phrase is something you don't quite understand, don't worry. You're not alone. Basically what it means is that capital gains, you know, any gains you make off of capital that you own, which is what rich people make a lot of money on, we're going to adjust it for inflation. So if inflation goes up, your taxes are going to go down roughly that same amount because you're going to get to write off that much. Basically, it's going to cost the U s economy about $10 billion a year in tax revenue. If Ted Cruz's plan goes through, and again, 20 other Senate Republicans signed on to this stupid little letter begging Mnuchin, please make this adjustment. But it's not just that Ted Cruz is still out there saying, we got to cut taxes for the wealthy elite.
It's his rationale and it's the same crap we hear every single time. Direct quote from Mr. Ted Cruz. Uh, this would unlock capital for investment, increase wages, create new jobs, and grow the economy, benefiting Americans across all income levels, even though of course, according to reports, the, uh, all of the gains from this, all the actual tax cuts from this would go to 86% of it would go to the top 1%. But Ted Cruz is telling us it's going to unlock capital for investment. Just like they told us with the Republican tax cut and we found out, oh, it didn't do that. Companies are not investing in new buildings and new technologies and new computers. No, no, no. They're giving the money back to themselves by just buying back their own stock. He says it's going to, uh, increase wages, except for the fact that we know that the initial tax cut did not increase wages.

Chemical plant explosion: Blasts hit storm-ravaged Texas chemical plant - TomoNews
CROSBY, TEXAS — Blasts rocked a flooded Crosby, Texas chemical plant on Thursday.
According to Reuters, 15 Harris County Sheriff's deputies had to be treated in hospital after investigating the explosions.
The plant makes organic peroxides, a compound found in commonplace everyday household items. Some of these require refrigeration and if they aren't cooled, they can catch fire.
Arkema Group, the facility owner, had been expecting a fire or explosion. Flooding from Hurricane Harvey had knocked out the facility's power and this meant its cooling systems weren't refrigerating volatile substances.
Prior to the explosion on Thursday, the company told the Texas Tribune there wouldn't be any long term impact and that environmental damage would be minimal.

Impeachment trial of President Trump | Jan. 27, 2020 (FULL LIVE STREAM)
The House managers wrapped up their arguments against President Trump on Jan. 24. Trump’s team, including lawyers Pat Cipollone and Jay Sekulow, now has 24 hours to present their case. After Trump’s lawyers conclude their presentation, senators will have an opportunity to submit questions to both sides in writing. Following that, debate will turn to whether to call witnesses and subpoena documents.
Trump was impeached by the House of Representatives in December for abuse of power and obstruction of Congress. Impeachment does not mean that the president has been removed from office. In the next phase, the Senate must hold a trial to make that determination. A Senate impeachment trial has happened only two other times in American history and once in the modern era. At the center of the Democrats’ case is that Trump sought to withhold military assistance and an Oval Office meeting until Ukraine announced investigations into former vice president Joe Biden and his son.

How to Make Sure Your Home Cameras Don’t Get Hacked
A Mississippi family is sounding the alarm after a hacker managed to infiltrate the Ring camera positioned in their little girl’s room and started talking to the child. I'm Santa Claus! Don't you want to be my best friend? he could be heard saying. Not only could they see my children; they could interact with my child. I don't know how they did it, mother Ashley Lemay told Inside Edition. A spokesperson for Ring said the incident was not related to a breach in the company's security.
