Let's Taste - Bress Harcourt Valley Cider 2015 with The Intrepid Wino
For something a bit different I opened a bottle of the Bress Cider 2015 instead of a wine for this episode of Let's Taste. What style of cider do you like? What do you think of Australian cider?

Harcourt and Maldon - Food & Wine Fossicking
The wine we make is something we're emotionally attached to, says Ian McKenzie, who owns Blackjack Wines with his good mate Ken Pollock. The pair combines traditional techniques with Mother Nature's whims at their vineyard in the beautiful Harcourt Valley. The area is equally famous for its apple orchards. Simon Frost, of The Little Red Apple, speaks of the pure taste of the valley, captured in his cider, sparkling apple juice and vinegar.
In nearby historic Maldon Cherry's Ice Creamery is kept busy by the sweet tooths year-round. Ice cream maker Ian French uses local produce where possible; he says a fair chunk of the region's boysenberry crop ends up in his ice cream -- it's one of around 60 flavours he's perfected.

Ginger Beer
The Ginger Kid Ginger Beer is made by two brothers, Kye and Quinn Livingstone. Quinn has a background in winemaking and uses this knowledge to make a ginger beer that is hand crafted in a similar fashion to a wine. When making a wine, winemakers aim to extract as much colour and flavour from the fruit as possible. This philosophy is applied to the ginger beer and the results are evident - a ginger beer that tastes like a ginger beer should - crisp, clean and full of strong ginger flavour!

Drift Trike and G bike hit Mount Alexander for some high speed runs.
A couple of the boys from Bendigo Drift Trikes, headed up to Mount Alexander at Harcourt, Victoria, for bit of Sliding and G bike action, I was invited along, so took a Go Pro and my Olympus along to capture the runs.
Shaun B pulled 112 Km/h on the slider, Sean D, pulled 147.5 Km/h on the gravity bike, not bad seeing as how the road was rough and had some tight corners.
