SideFest with LGN at Brewdog Leicester - SIG Presents: Surviving Survival
Small Impact Games presents Surviving Survival: Building A Community In Early Access. From the SIG Team, Cameron Small (Left), James Rowbotham (Middle), John Carney (Side) and Peter Harries (Right).
A massive thank you to the team at SideFest the Leicester Games Network and Brewdog Leicester for allowing us to present our Developer talk and of course to everyone who attended; we hope you all enjoyed it!
Steam Early Access is overstocked with survival games, but Small Impact Studios launched into it anyway - and The Black Death has built a player base as it approaches release. We discuss the double edged sword of early access, speaking to a community formed around an unfinished game, world building versus procedural generation, environmental storytelling in a multiplayer setting and planning towards shipping a finished game.

30 days Euro Trip - London Day 2
For Day 2, we went to the Sky Garden. 2 weeks before we had to camp on Monday to book the tickets and damn it was worth it! Every bit of it. Mainly because it was free (haha) but also because of how informative it was, leading us to the landmarks that were marked out right before each of them. But some landmarks were really quite different from the picture and we were guessing and hunting for them but gave up quite quickly. The security checks before going up was quite a breeze, just no cup drinks allowed up the Sky Garden.
After Sky Garden, we had time to spare and needed the toilet so we walked around to find a decent toilet and somewhere to chill before meeting my cousin. DAMN IT IS SO HARD TO FIND A TOILET IN LONDON. So we chanced upon Brew Dog which just looks pretty and looks like their toilet would be clean (LOL) so we went in and ordered a beer. We only found out through my cousin afterwards that it was a famous hangout for after office hour drinks.
We then met my cousin and went for a tour around Borough Market and had a quick lunch since it was his lunch hour. Didn't take much pictures but we definitely had fun walking around and trying free food - bread with olive oil, black and white truffle oil (which we bought), homemade nougat with hazelnut which we bought and nibbled on it till the last leg of our holiday (travelled with us quite a lot huh). For lunch, we had different pastas and shared them (IT WAS FANTASTIC) and had coffee at Monmouth (So good).
Then we walked back to his office area beside the Tower of London so we decided to sit down and take a short break before touring around the area and take pictures. Was quite intrigued by the Tower of London but we didn't have time to go in and I left feeling bit down but my pocket was indeed happy.
We walked back to Oxford St via Chinatown and went to have dinner at Flat Iron! The steak was good and cheap thus the portioning for Shaun was slightly little... but all's good. We stopped by Primark and Hyde Park and took a stroll and some pictures before heading back to crash after walking for DAMN long
And also, tickets to Tower of London, courtesy of my cousin's client.... Tower of London themselves! So loved.
Land Rover trouble may hit Premiership with £1m sponsor deal in danger
Land Rover trouble may hit Premiership with £1m sponsor deal in danger. The Premiership could lose their £1million-a-year sponsorship deal with Land Rover — which has 18 months left to run — after the car company announced 4,500 job cuts.
A renewal meeting was scheduled for last month, but a 20 per cent downturn in Land Rover sales — combined with the departure of sales manager Jenny Smith — has resulted in a 'challenging environment'.
The Premiership are now hoping for a short-term deal. Owen Farrell, Maro Itoje and Billy Vunipola are among a stable of household names who drive the 4x4 cars.
The league's marketing team are also in new business discussions with BrewDog, Hyperoptic, Barclays and Experian.
Ex-England international Paul Doran-Jones has big plans for the city of Gloucester — starting with the demolition of a stripclub! The former Northampton and Gloucester prop plans to bulldoze two of the city's old nightspots — King of Clubs and Minx — to build 115 student flats.
Eddie Jones has asked his former Japan liaison officer to join England at the World Cup.
Masseuse Jackie Takahashi worked with Jones and the Brave Blossoms at the 2015 World Cup and has accepted the position for this year's tournament in Japan.
Takahashi is the ideal candidate because she speaks Japanese — and her roles will include getting the team to the stadium safely and on time.
Argentina internationals Martin Landajo and Santiago Garcia Botta are set to sign for Harlequins. Head coach Paul Gustard is keen to add the scrum-half and prop to his ranks, after fellow prop Lewis Boyce accepted a big pay rise to join Bath.
Leicester are preparing to clear the decks this summer, with Gareth Owen, Mike Williams and Valentino Mapapalangi set to leave. Centre Owen is expected to join Newcastle, flanker Williams has agreed terms with Bath and lock Mapapalangi is set for a move to France.
With friends like these - football fan's mate messes with his drunken friend
It probably seemed a good idea at the time -- Scotland were playing Brazil at the Emirates Stadium on a beautifully warm sunny day -- well, for London at least. What you probably don't want to be is covered head to toe in Lycra with the zip at the back meaning a 'mate' needs to be on hand to help you out of it when you're just about to throw up and pass out from the heat...

Man drives huge tank through London
WATCH as a sixteen-tonne former British Army tank rolls past some of London’s most famous landmarks to the consternation of gobsmacked tourists.
Spectacular footage shows the twenty-foot long Abbot SPG drive past Big Ben as tourists stand open mouthed trying to get it all on camera.
The tank, which boasts a 105mm gun, also cruises down Piccadilly Circus, Regent Street with Christmas shopping in full swing and past Stamford Bridge as football fans start to gather for a Chelsea home match.
The stunning video shows a military vehicle specialist and instructor, who wished to be known as TankNutDave (38) driving a tank through central London.
An H category driving license is required to drive any tracked vehicles on the road in the UK and Europe.

Places to see in ( Ellon - UK )
Places to see in ( Ellon - UK )
Ellon is a town in Aberdeenshire, Scotland, approximately 16 miles north of Aberdeen, lying on the River Ythan, which has one of the few undeveloped river estuaries on the eastern coast of Scotland. It is in the ancient region of Formartine. Its name is believed to derive from the Gaelic term Eilean, an island, on account of the presence of an island in the River Ythan, which offered a convenient fording point.
Places of interest within the town include the ruins of Ellon Castle, surrounded by walls known as the Deer Dyke, and the Auld Brig, a category A listed bridge across the Ythan, built in 1793 and still in use as a pedestrian bridge. The Riverside Park offers walkways alongside the Ythan, from which herons, salmon, trout and otters may be observed. In 2013, a new 5.5 acre eco-brewery, owned and crowdfunded by BrewDog, was opened in a greenfield site just outside of Ellon.
Ellon has a community centre, which includes a swimming pool and café. The Ythan Centre is a building dedicated to serving the needs of Ellon's teenage population. This facility includes a soundproofed room where amateur bands can practise and a large hall with roof to floor length mirrors, which the dance group Refresh uses for their weekly practice.
The Meadows sports centre, located on the outskirts of Ellon, has many sporting facilities and clubs, including football and rugby pitches, an astroturf pitch for hockey, a gym, and a multi-use sports hall. The Meadows is also home to the Ellon United football team, the Ellon RFC and the Ellon HC.
Ellon has benefited from the North Sea oil demand, and is one of the main dormitory towns for Aberdeen. It is part of the proposed Energetica corridor of development. The population is expanding as young families seek to escape Aberdeen and move to nearby towns like Ellon, Inverurie and Banchory. During 2006, Ellon ranked as the town with the fourth most rapidly increasing average house prices in Scotland.
Ellon is bypassed by the A90 road, which offers convenient access to Aberdeen to the south and Peterhead and Fraserburgh to the north. Other major road links are the A920 west to Oldmeldrum and Huntly, and the A948 north to New Deer. Regular and frequent bus services link Ellon with Aberdeen, Inverurie, Peterhead, Fraserburgh and surrounding towns and villages, serving both the town centre and the large Park and Ride facility at the eastern edge of the town.
Ellon railway station was a principal station on the Great North of Scotland Railway line that ran from Aberdeen to Fraserburgh and Peterhead. Due to the Beeching Axe, passenger services were withdrawn on the Formartine and Buchan Railway line in 1965. Freight services continued on the line until 1979 (Fraserburgh only, the Maud-Peterhead section was closed in 1970), at which point the entire line was closed.
( Ellon - UK ) is well know as a tourist destination because of the variety of places you can enjoy while you are visiting Ellon . Through a series of videos we will try to show you recommended places to visit in Ellon - UK

About the Artist:
British singer, pianist and guitarist Mike Sanchez is one of the most exciting and charismatic performers of Rhythm & Blues and Rock 'n' Roll in the world today. His indelible image as a frenetic front man, pumping powerful boogie-woogie from the piano in a soaking suit, has won him fans from all over the world and attracted a following from many famous rock and blues legends who have lined up to work with him.
Mike spent four years as a full-time member of Bill Wyman's Rhythm Kings, fronting the band alongside Georgie Fame, Beverly Skeete, Albert Lee, Andy Fairweather-Low and Eddie Floyd on their annual world tours. The Rhythm Kings released their album ‘Just for a Thrill’ and a fabulous DVD entitled ‘Let The Good Times Roll’, both featuring Mike’s extensive role as a member of the ex-Rolling Stones bassist’s touring band.
Mike is currently involved in a number of touring line-ups, most notably his 6-piece outfit Mike Sanchez and his Band featuring Tom Bull on guitar, bassist Nick Whitfield (both Tom and Nick hail from Leicester's Drugstore Cowboys), Mike's long term drummer Mark Morgan, Nick Lunt on baritone sax (Jools Holland's Rhythm & Blues Orchestra) and Martin Winning on tenor sax (Van Morrison). This band's performances continuously receive fabulous reviews throughout the blues and rockin' scenes across the UK and Europe.
A 2009 recording project was Mike's second collaboration with top Swedish bluesmen The Beat From Palookaville, creating the hot rockin' album 'Babes & Buicks' out on Mike’s own Doopin Music.
In 2003 Mike released a debut 2-hour DVD titled 'Red Hot …Live!' featuring live shows of his own 4 and 7-piece band and The Mike Sanchez Rhythm & Blues Revue, a Johnny Otis 1950s style show starring doo-wop vocal trio The Extraordinaires and Imelda May who shortly thereafter became a household name.
Mike Sanchez was born Jesus Miguel Sanchez in London's East End to Spanish parents Jesus and Manola on the 17th of February 1964. At the age of eleven, his family moved to Worcestershire in the West Midlands where Mike took up the piano, developing a strong love for 1950s' American roots music through his high school years. As a teenager he taught himself guitar and formed The Rockets, a rockabilly trio.
Shortly after, Mike was introduced to former Chicken Shack, Savoy Brown and Steve Gibbons' multi-instrumentalist Andy Silvester by Led Zeppelin's Robert Plant, which led to the founding of the Big Town Playboys in 1984, specialising in authentic post-war Rhythm & Blues. Procol Harum pianist Gary Brooker became an early fan and introduced Mike to his friends Eric Clapton and Amen Corner's Andy Fairweather-Low. The latter signed up as guitarist with the Big Town Playboys for two years in the 1990s. Fleetwood Mac's Mick Fleetwood is another good friend who regularly involves Mike in his plans wherever possible.
Mike recorded a number of albums including the classic Gene Vincent/Cliff Gallup tribute album 'Crazy Legs' with guitar-great Jeff Beck in 1993. The Big Town Playboys had various stints opening for Eric Clapton at London's Royal Albert Hall and appeared at many European music festivals, backing bluesmen like Lowell Fulson, Don & Dewey, Lonnie Brooks, Joe Hughes, Jimmy Nelson, Carey Bell and the great Little Willie Littlefield. Over the years, Mike has also been involved in movie soundtrack producing and recording, most recently for the movie 'I’ll Be There' (2003) starring Charlotte Church and Craig Ferguson. The well-established magazine Blues in Britain voted Mike 'UK Keyboard Player of the Year' for four consecutive years (2000-2004).
Mike's main aim has always been to make every live show his best yet as he continuously enjoys growing acclaim and admiration for his electrifying stage performances from new and old fans of all age groups across the world. He is now a family man living with his wife Sarah and their son Louie Ray in the Sierra Gredos near Madrid considering the next significant step in his colourful career.
