Description
Road Town, Tortola British Virgin Islands 2019 | Cane Garden Bay | MSC Divina Cruise
Road Town, located on Tortola, is the capital of the British Virgin Islands. It is situated on the horseshoe-shaped Road Harbour in the centre of the island's south coast.
Cane Garden Bay is centrally located on Tortola's north side, this is probably the busiest beach since its beauty is often compared to Magen's Bay on St. Thomas.
What to do in Tortola. We show you the beaches of the BVI
This was our first island hopping experience after moving to St. Thomas. We spent 3 days in Tortola. Since it was the off-season we couldn't find any tours to take us to Virgin Gorda or the baths, so we just spent the time exploring the island. Which turned out to be great. It gave us time to see pretty much the whole island. Follow us around the island and see where we went and where we stayed. Hint- We stayed on a boat, which was a lot of fun. Leave a comment and let us know where your favorite spot is in Tortola or if you have any questions, I'll do my best to answer them.
Thanks for watching and please subscribe is you found value in this video.

Tortola BVi January 2019
The Northern coast has the best beaches on the island, including Smuggler's Cove, Long Bay, Cane Garden Bay, Brewer's Bay, Josiah's Bay, and Lambert beach. In addition to beaches, marine activities such as sailing, surfing, scuba diving, kite boarding, and windsurfing are available. Many tourists visit the historic sites and hike in parks. The island is visited regularly by large cruise ships.
Although the British Virgin Islands (BVI) are under the British flag, it uses the US dollar as its official currency due to its proximity to and frequent trade with the US Virgin Islands and Puerto Rico. The island is home to many offshore companies that do business worldwide. Financial services are a major part of the country's economy.
Local tradition recounts that Christopher Columbus named the island Tórtola, meaning turtle dove in Spanish. In fact, Columbus named the island Santa Ana. Dutch colonists called it Ter Tholen, after a coastal island that is part of the Netherlands. When the British took over, the name evolved to Tortola.

Brewers Bay Beach, St. Thomas - Virgin Islands
Brewers Bay is a beautiful beach. The waters there are almost always calm and crystal clear. Palm trees and sea grape trees are scattered along the shore. The beach is not developed, but it is located in walking distance from the University of the Virgin Islands campus. While on weekdays the bay is sparsely populated, on weekends it is a favorite with residents for family picnics and gatherings.
