Spontaneous Lake Louise Trip! Winter at Fairmont Chateau Lake Louise
Surprised Nat with a trip to Lake Louise, Alberta, Canada! We left from Los Angeles (LAX) on Friday, Nov. 8 and flew Air Canada to the Calgary Airport (YYC).
We stayed at Calgary Airport Marriott In-Terminal Hotel on Friday night, then took the Brewster Express from the terminal to Lake Louise (stopped in Banff along the way).
We stayed at the Fairmont Chateau Lake Louise on Saturday, Sunday and Monday nights, enjoying the hotel, the restaurants (Fairview, especially) and a hike around Lake Louise.
On Monday we took a day trip to Banff, where we checked out the Fairmont Banff Springs hotel, and rode the Banff Gondola up to the top of the mountain (and took the boardwalk to the Sulphur Mountain peak in Banff National Park).
A great trip and we can't recommend the Fairmont Chateau Lake Louise in the shoulder season/winter highly enough!

What a sound. It would be more to my liking if the railroad were to explore more colourful combinations. They play with such dull looking parts. The city in the background usually does a much better job of bouncing light back and forth into my view as a casual pedestrian. Of course that success more or less depends on the jetstream, which is not always obligated to behave in cooperation.

From Calgary to Banff Sunshine Village
Wide-open slopes, abundant snowfall, a village alive with spirit – all within Banff National Park in the Canadian Rockies. Sunshine Village is renowned for its lengthy season from mid-November until late May. Just 15 minutes from the resort town of Banff, Sunshine Village offers more 3,300 acres of terrain on three mountains, with an average annual snowfall of more than nine metres (30 feet).
The broad range of runs vary from family friendly green to the world-famous double-black Delirium Dive.
Its unique village location on the Continental Divide at 2,200 metres (7,200 feet) ensures Champagne powder conditions last until its legendary end-of-year party, the Slush Cup, on May 23, 2016.

Target : Traveling around the world
Travel reminds those paying attention that they are not the only man in the world, that this is a huge world and that they are only a small, insignificant human in it. This is quite a leisure experience – to go to another country or another state and see large numbers of peoples living differently, and coming to understand how large the world actually is. When people who learn return home, they keep with them this perspective for the rest of their life and they benefit from this is knowledge and perspective.
Another benefit to traveling is coming to see one’s native country in a different light, in a different way. This is done through being able to compare and contrast home from a foreign location, done most always through traveling. A new perspective may be formed
