Interview with Laura Dern for Gregory Peck Award
Maurice Galway Director of Dingle International Film Festival is interviewing Honoured 2014 Festival Guest. Laura Dern received the Gregory Peck Award: For Excellence in the Art of Film from the festival.
The Gregory Peck Award is designed by local jeweler Brian de Staic and is based on the prehistoric standing stone ‘The Aghlish Pillar’ which is housed today in our National Gallery in Dublin, but which originated from Minard, here in Dingle, the same place as Gregory’s Grandmother, Catherine Ashe, came from.
Jim Sheridan had the honour of presenting Laura Dern The Gregory Peck Award here on the peninsula and Cecilia Peck and her family were also here for the celebrations. Laura and her children had an amazing time here seeing the peninsula and visiting the Peck’s ancestral farm with Cecilia and her family.
