1V40 Manchester to Carmarthen Class 175 Armstrong Powerhouse – Train Simulator 2018 (Part 1)
Welcome aboard Arriva Trains Wales service 1V40, the 14:22 departure from Newport to Carmarthen. In today’s video, we will be taking Part 1 of the service from Newport to Bridgend, calling at Cardiff Central in-between, with Part 2 taking the remainder of the trip from Bridgend to Swansea, using both Armstrong Powerhouse’s (AP) Class 175 Enhancement Pack and the South Wales Coastal Bristol – Swansea add-on by Dovetail Games, available on Steam. The service structure is the following: Newport / Casnewydd (14:22), Cardiff Central / Caerdydd Canolog (14:36), Bridgend / Pen Y Bont (14:57).
This scenario is called [175] Pt 1: 1V40 Manchester Piccadilly to Carmarthen, and is available to run for those with the South Wales Coastal Bristol – Swansea expansion pack. For an improved experience, the Class 175 Enhancement Pack by Armstrong Powerhouse is strongly recommended, and that is what I have used today in the creation of this video.

These are the individual videos for all the stations we visited on our one day ride around the valleys, there will be another two or three days in the summer where we finish off our still remaining revisits.

Liverpool Street station
Liverpool Street, also known as London Liverpool Street, is a central London railway terminus and connected London Underground station in the north-eastern corner of the City of London. It is the London terminus of the West Anglia Main Line to Cambridge, the busier Great Eastern Main Line to Norwich, local and regional commuter trains serving east London and destinations in the East of England, and the Stansted Express to London Stansted Airport.
It was opened in 1874 as a replacement for the Great Eastern Railway's main London terminus, Bishopsgate station, which was subsequently converted into a goods yard. Liverpool Street was built as a dual-level station with an underground station opened in 1875 for the Metropolitan Railway, named Bishopsgate until 1909 when it was renamed Liverpool Street. An additional station called Bishopsgate (Low Level) existed on the mainline just outside of Liverpool Street from 1872 until 1916.
