Sasha THROWED us / Vika saw Olga.S./ Bridge of Lovers at Night.
Hello! Our new VLOG on numerous requests, we are on the bridge in love. A little about this place: Tyumen Bridge of the Lovers is a cable-stayed pedestrian bridge across the Tura River in the Central District of Tyumen. Currently, the bridge is a meeting place for couples in love and the main attraction of Tyumen. Since 2005, people hang locks of love, often with various engravings, on the railing of the bridge, and then throw the key into the river. So, in just a few subsequent years, more than a thousand different locks were hung on the bridge, their maximum allowable weight is 4.5 tons. Also, Tyumen residents have a tradition to visit the bridge after the wedding, arranging a wedding photo session on it. At the entrance to the bridge there is a clock that helps couples in love on dates. The bridge is also used by the residents of Old Zareka, who cross it to the left bank. At the direction of the Mayor of the city, the bridge was surrounded by night architectural lighting, and a Russian flag was placed on the bridge pillar. Wi-Fi is also available on the bridge. In the future, it is planned to repaint the bridge from gray to bright colors and even place a fountain on it.
And I (Vika) had an unpleasant meeting with Olga Sergeyevna, I asked Sasha to wait until she was gone, barely persuaded him, wanted to go and see her. After a long walk, and we walked around the center, we went home. I felt very bad

Tyumen City | University of Tyumen
Tyumen is one of the great “smaller cities” of Russia — with a high living standard, lots of cultural options, good ecology, friendly people, and a large student population.
Tyumen is the capital of the vast Tyumen region, which stretches to the Arctic Ocean and has Russia’s biggest oil and gas reserves. The city itself is in the more temperate southern tip of the region, far from the oil fields in the frosty north. A mere 200 km east of the Ural mountain range, which marks the border between Europe and Asia, Tyumen is authentically Siberian in both its landscape and ambience. Tyumen is located on the Trans-Siberian railway. Ekaterinburg, Russia’s 4th largest city, and Tobolsk, the ancient capital of Siberia, are easily accessible weekend trips.
Tyumen’s population is 700 000 people and it is increasing rapidly, making it one of the fastest-growing cities of Russia. The city consistently ranks top in Russia for its standard of living, infrastructure, safety and quality of medical care. It features a rich history, relaxed, friendly atmosphere and a compact pedestrian-friendly center with a unique 4-level embankment.
SAS building is situated in the heart of Tyumen historical center.

Time of DDT - Part 2 of 4
(for English subtitles, make sure that the closed captioning (CC) button at the bottom of the video menu is turned on)
A translation of the documentary Время ДДТ (Time of DDT), which traces the history of Russia's premier rock band, DDT, in the first two decades of its existence. This second part (of four) sees the leader Yuri Shevchuk move to the city of Leningrad (St. Petersburg) and put together a new lineup of DDT in the late 80s. At first the band struggles to obtain credibility on the Petersburg rock scene, but within a couple of years - as the Perestroika and Glasnost reforms finally open up the country - they are selling out stadiums. However, this sudden party amidst the fall of the Soviet regime does not last long...
A highly recommended viewing to anyone not just interested in DDT, but Russian rock music, culture and recent history generally - it provides a very personal, candid perspective on the lives and struggles of some very difficult times in the lives of free-thinking people in the country.

Listening is a more natural way of learning, when compared to reading. Written language only began at around 3200 BC, but spoken language has existed long ago.
Learning by listening is a great way to:
- increases imagination and understanding
- improves your listening skills
- improves your own spoken accent
- learn while on the move
- reduce eye strain
Now learn the vast amount of general knowledge available on Wikipedia through audio (audio article). You could even learn subconsciously by playing the audio while you are sleeping! If you are planning to listen a lot, you could try using a bone conduction headphone, or a standard speaker instead of an earphone.

SUMMARY
=======
Sankt-Peterburg, IPA: [ˈsankt pʲɪtʲɪrˈburk] (listen)) is Russia's second-largest city after Moscow, with 5 million inhabitants in 2012, part of the Saint Petersburg agglomeration with a population of 6.2 million (2015). An important Russian port on the Baltic Sea, it has a status of a federal subject (a federal city).
Situated on the Neva River, at the head of the Gulf of Finland on the Baltic Sea, it was founded by Tsar Peter the Great on 27 May [O.S. 16 May] 1703. During the periods 1713–1728 and 1732–1918, Saint Petersburg was the capital of Imperial Russia. In 1918, the central government bodies moved to Moscow, which is about 625 km (388 miles) to the south-east.
Saint Petersburg is often considered Russia's cultural capital. The Historic Centre of Saint Petersburg and Related Groups of Monuments constitute a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Saint Petersburg is home to the Hermitage, one of the largest art museums in the world. Many foreign consulates, international corporations, banks and businesses have offices in Saint Petersburg.
