Bozeman skier looking to become the best in the world
BOZEMAN – Very few people can say they are the best in the country at what they do. But one skier tucked away in the Bridger Mountains has that right.
SOLO DAY TRIP: BOZEMAN, MONTANA
Hi there! This weekend, I packed up the car and took a solo day trip to the cute mountain town of Bozeman, Montana. Bozeman is roughly 45 minutes - 1 hour from Big Sky, Montana pending the weather and road conditions.
As a seasonal ski resort employee, I had a free ski pass to Bridger Bowl - a ski area right outside of the town of Bozeman. I took a solo day trip to get outside, enjoy the fresh mountain air, and explore new terrain! Bridger Bowl is a great local ski hill and more affordable than Big Sky Resort. The terrain isn't as big, but there are some really fun tree trails and bowls to ski down!
After a great day of skiing, I went to the Bozeman Goodwill. I scored two great plaid shirts and a western-style vest all for just $17! Local Tip: Montana thrift shops are a great way to save money and still walk away with great mountain apparel. There were lots of used skis, snowboards, and nice winter jackets for sale at the thrift shop!
Next, I stocked up on groceries since they're a bit more affordable than the small country markets in the town of Big Sky. The produce especially is significantly cheaper and worth the extra pit stop before driving back into Big Sky.
Thanks for watching!

About Me: Last year, I fell in love with skiing and picked up a part-time seasonal job at a Montana Ski Resort for the Winter 2016/2017 season. Prior to moving to Montana, I lived in NYC for five years and worked at a large advertising and marketing agency. Originally from Florida, living near the Rocky Mountains has been an incredible opportunity. Throughout the winter, I'll be documenting my experience working at a ski resort and also as a freelance marketing consultant. Thanks for following along! PS - I learned how to ski a year ago at 28 years old. :)
