ABOUT POETRY OUT LOUD:
Recitation and performance are major new trends in poetry. There has been a recent resurgence of poetry as an oral art form, as seen in the slam poetry movement and the immense popularity of hip-hop music. Poetry Out Loud builds on that momentum by inviting the dynamic aspects of slam poetry, spoken word and theater into the English class. The National Endowment for the Arts and the Poetry Foundation have partnered with the Utah Arts & Museums Literature Program to support the expansion of Poetry Out Loud, which encourages Utah's youth to learn about great poetry through memorization and performance.

Salt Lake City and County Building
The Salt Lake City and County Building, usually called the City-County Building, is the seat of government for Salt Lake City, Utah. The historic landmark formerly housed offices for Salt Lake County government as well, hence the name.
The building was originally constructed by free masons between 1891 and 1894 to house offices for the city and county of Salt Lake and replace the Salt Lake City Council Hall and Salt Lake County Courthouse, both erected in the 1860s
The City-County Building sits between State Street, Second East, Fourth South, and Fifth South in Salt Lake City, a block called Washington Square. Named for George Washington, the block is the site of the original 1847 Mormon pioneers' camp in Salt Lake City.
The building has five floors and over one hundred rooms.

How cohousing can make us happier (and live longer) | Grace Kim
Loneliness doesn't always stem from being alone. For architect Grace Kim, loneliness is a function of how socially connected we feel to the people around us -- and it's often the result of the homes we live in. She shares an age-old antidote to isolation: cohousing, a way of living where people choose to share space with their neighbors, get to know them, and look after them. Rethink your home and how you live in it with this eye-opening talk.
