The Longstone, Mottistone
This is a video of the neolithic National Trust owned Longstone at Mottistone on the Isle of Wight, filmed on the evening of 30th August 2010. Me and my Dad walked from Brighstone one evening all the way to this landmark and although its quite interesting, it was further than we expected and a very VERY long walk, and not ideal at 7pm, getting back at 9pm when it was almost pitch black alongside non-lit country roads.

There are 175 touring pitches for tents, touring caravans and motor homes and there are 65 holiday caravans for hire.
The Orchards is an award-winning park. It has won 7 gold David Bellamy awards for conservation. The English Council Rose Award for luxury holiday accommodation and the English Tourism award for caravan and camping. It is also a member of The Best of British parks.
The Orchards is ideal for families and couples. It is an ideal base for exploring the island, either by walking, cycling golfing sightseeing, beach holidays or visiting the many attractions or festivals that the island has to offer. There are many attractions within easy reach of the park. Fort Victoria, Chessill Pottery, The Needles and Carisbrooke Castle to name but a few. See isleofwight.com for more details. Isle of Wight Accommodation - Appuldurcombe Gardens Holiday Park2.mp4
Our idyllic family holiday park is situated within 14 acres of lush secluded grounds, surrounded by beautiful open countryside. We are located in the valley of the Stenbury and St Martin's Downs, which is a designated area of outstanding nature beauty, an ideal spot for bird watching and horse riding. For walkers and cyclists, there are also an excellent network of footpaths and cycle paths, which can we accessed within minutes. Alternatively, if you prefer relaxing on the beach, we are only a short car journey to the famous coves and beaches of Ventnor, where you can explore the fascinating Victorian architecture and it botanical gardens -- which due to the resort's aspect of a steep, south-facing cliff it has earned the reputation as being England's Madeira, you can also enjoy sunbathing, swimming, sailing, windsurfing and hang-gliding.
