Join Ruby and Lilly on our adventure in the beautiful town of Bright located in the Alpine National Park, Victoria just south of Albury.
Today we decided to visit the Bright Centenary Park. Close by is an amazing splash park and the lions waterslide so we will definately have to come back in summer to try those out!
After a play at the park we discovered the Canyon Walk. A scenic track following Oven's river, full of magical views and a rainbow of birdlife scattered all along the journey. The sounds of the birds and the rushing river accompanied by the sweet smell of flowers made this walk a must do!

Visiting The Red Stag Deer and Emu farm, Bright, Victoria, Australia
Join Ruby and Lilly as we explore the Red Stag Deer and Emu farm. Today we had lunch at the Red Stag Restaurant which is located just 20 mins west of Bright in the Mount Buffalo National park region of Victoria, Australia. Here we took the opportunity to explore their family friendly facilities including play area, mini golf and animal feeding.
We had so much fun watching and feeding the variety of animals including deer, emu, goats, chickens, turkeys and more, especially the ostrich.
The area is rich with stunning mountainous views and farmland, with many little stalls along the way selling local produce. Its such a special place to visit.

The Eternal Flame is an important centre piece of ANZAC Day commemorations across Australia. The flame symbolises eternal life and is used to demonstrate our gratitude for, and remembrance of, those whose lives were lost at war.

Ensuring the flame continuously burns during the services is the revered undertaking of a team of dedicated employees who volunteer their time to prepare, attend and operate the cauldron during memorial services as Gas Distribution Officer Pete Dainton explains.

Despite the United Nation's eventual intervention, most of this country's young people continue to live in abject poverty, surrounded by filth, drug addiction, and teenage prostitution. In 2009, we went to Liberia to rummage through the messy remains of a country ravaged by 14 years of civil war.
UPDATE: Charles G. Taylor, former President of Liberia and warlord, has been convicted by an international tribunal of war crimes and crimes against humanity, including rape, murder, and the use of child soldiers. He is the first head of state to be found guilty by an international court since the Nuremberg trials.

A spectacular lighting experience at Viaduct Harbour
We went to Auckland Viaduct Harbour on Saturday evening to attend family event Bright Nights 2019.This five days event attracts lots of people.

Attracting more than 63,000 visitors in 2018, Viaduct Harbour is thrilled to announce the return of Bright Nights, the immersive lighting experience taking over the waterfront precinct from 8-12 May 2019.
The immersive public event will see the Viaduct Harbour transformed into a visual wonderland, with an estimated 100,000 visitors expected to weave their way through the extended line-up of luminary installations. The underlying theme of this year's event is sea life and sustainability.
Taking place from 8th to 12th May, the trail has almost doubled in length since its 2018 debut, with guests being treated to more than a dozen interactive displays from both local and international artists. Bright Nights 2019 will end on the Sunday (Mother's Day) with a thrilling fireworks display.

The Australian Cultural Library is an independent reference-only library that aims to gather and preserve as much of Australia's culture as humanly possible.
The library collects cultural items created by people who:
1 - Were born in Australia (e.g. Frank Bourke);
2 - Migrated to Australia (e.g. Billy Thorpe); or
3 - Were directly connected to Australian culture (e.g. Burl Ives)
The Australian Cultural Library is NOT government- or corporate-funded. It
aims to be independent and the collection houses a wide range of items including books, CDs, cassettes, vinyl, DVDs, film, posters, t-shirts and paintings; from the well-known to the rare and virtually unknown.
Currently, the collection is located at 4/203 Margaret St, Toowoomba 4350 Australia and open to the public on the first Wednesday of each month, 12 noon to 5pm or by appointment.
Donations of stock for the collection or towards running costs are welcome.
