Bartlett Falls, Bristol, Vermont 1080p
July is the time to be in Vermont. Why? To take advantage of the swimming holes along the beautiful streams that flow from the Green Mountains. One of the more popular destinations is Bartlett Falls in Bristol. On any given day in the summer, the stretch of Lincoln Road just above the falls will be lined with cars from all over New England, their drivers and passengers swimming and diving in the gorge below.
Technical Details
Filmed with a Nikon D7000 DSLR and a selection of Nikkor lenses including a 17-35mm ƒ/2.8 AF-S, a 50mm ƒ/1.4 AF-D, an 80-200 ƒ/2.8 AF-S, and a 105mm ƒ/2.5 AIS manual focus lens. I recorded the sound with a Zoom H4n digital recorder. Post production was done with Apple's Final Cut Pro X and Amadeus Pro for sound.

Waterfalls in Bristol, Vermont
Each summer Adam and I try and travel Vermont when we don't really know what to do with ourselves on our days off. Today was Memorial Day and we both happen to have it off. We went to Bristol and visited 3 or 4 waterfalls there, the main ones being Barlett Falls and Memorial Park Falls. A few were just random by the side of the road falls but all the rain had made them amazing.
What did you do on your memorial day?

Cruiser Video: Bristol Vermont Officer Randy Crowe threatens to kill citizen
The officers vest cam, we are told, was not on, but the cruiser's dash cam was. The audio however, does work. Funny how the vest cameras don't work when they pull a weapon.

July 1997 Flood
This is raw video of the 1997 Montgomery Flash Flood and the subsequent community recovery and clean up. It includes flood waters in both the Center and the Village, after cresting, compiled from several sources: damage; and cleanup activity largely shot by the local cable community access channel’s personnel (Mike Moran). This VCR tape was sold as a fund raiser at the time and this copy was donated to the Montgomery Historical Society.

Driving back to Ottawa Ontario from Chelmsford Massachusetts,
I always try to catch the morning Amtrak Vermonter Train # 55 somewhere along the way. Bethel Vermont was the place I picked on this trip. HD Video was captured with an iPod Touch 6th Generation and edited with the iMovie app. The covered bridge scenes are at Northfield Falls Vermont.
