Britannia Panopticon: The oldest surviving Music Hall - Pt.2
Years ago I stumbled across a hidden gem of Glasgow, a lost treasure if you will, the oldest surviving (just) music hall in Britain, the Britannia Panopticon on the Trongate. They have recently been doing renovations and are currently trying to raise funds to repair the stage itself. I popped in there with a camera to learn more about the place on a saturday afternoon when it is open to the public. THANK YOU TO WAYNE MAZAZDA FOR CAMERA WORK

Amazing Grace
20th Anniversary Tour - Glasgow
Rejoice Gospel Choir perform their ever-popular version of Amazing Grace at the Britannia Panopticon Music Hall in June 2019. Literally just off the bus after travelling all night from Ballina, this was their first performance as part of their 20th Anniversary Tour in Glasgow.
The song is based on both America's most famous spiritual hymns Amazing Grace and the melody/chorus taken from the multi-award winning Human a song by British singer/songwriter Rag 'n' Bone Man (co-written by Jamie Hartman). This version is performed by one of the youngest members of the choir.

He fought in the war in Sudan in 1885 having been sent to relieve General Gordon. Fred Burnaby was unfortunately killed by an arab spear.
