Britannia Pier Great Yarmouth Vlog 24th June 2018
Join us in the short vlog as we have a walk down the classic Britannia Pier in Great Yarmouth Norfolk
We had literally just came out of Joyland and I thought why not vlog the pier before heading up the seafront to the Pleasure Beach
Britannia Pier is another classic British seaside pier and home to slot arcades, pubs, a theatre and an amusement park at the home to a ghost train
Vlog and Ghost Train pov are all filmed in HD 1080p 60fps using a GoPro Hero 6 with official accessories

Video Game Arcade Tours - Britannia Pier Amusements (Great Yarmouth, UK)
Britannia Pier has a two-part arcade. The first one is downstairs, and the second, is further down the pier. They have a good mix of video games vs redemption and haven't completely sold out on redemption. For the amount of money they earn, they are prett damn tight and stingy about getting new games. The games look like they were transported from the 90s, everything on average is around 20 years old. That's accetable for a struggling arcade, but I expected more from Britannia Pier Amusements. They also don't have a dance machine

Many of the arcades in the UK (Mainly seaside arcades) are called Amusement Arcades. They are typically packed with redemption-based machines with very few video games (As video games simply do not make money). I have placed the word Amusements in the title for these types of places as they are not true Video Game Arcades, but deserve some sort of mention. As gambling is legal in the UK, they tend to include fruit machines (aka slot machines) and various other things money-making games, so video games really take a back seat in places like these. They also really hate filming, I'm not sure why because it's free advertising, unless dodgy things are taking place lol
An amusement arcade (often referred to as video arcade or simply arcade) is a venue where people play arcade games such as video games, pinball machines, electro-mechanical games, redemption games, merchandisers (such as claw cranes), or coin-operated billiards or air hockey tables. In some countries, some types of arcades are also legally permitted to provide gambling machines such as slot machines or pachinko machines. Games are usually housed in cabinets. The term used for ancestors of these venues in the beginning of the 20th century was penny arcades.Video games were introduced in amusement arcades in the late 1970s and were most popular during the golden age of arcade video games, the early 1980s. Arcades became popular with children and particularly adolescents, which led parents to be concerned that video game playing might cause them to skip school.

Joyland & Britannia Pier Great Yarmouth Vlog July 2018
In this vlog I return to Great Yarmouth for a visit to Joyland, a small children's amusement park that opened on the sea front in 1949. I share on ride footage from all of the major attractions at the park including the Super Snails, Tyrolean Tub Twist, Spook Express and many more.
Along with visiting Joyland I also head on to Britannia Pier to explore the rides located at the end of the pier. I take a ride on the ghost train along with taking a look around the rest of pier before making my way up to Great Yarmouth Pleasure Beach.

Video Game Arcade Tours - Wellington Pier Amusements (Great Yarmouth, UK)
Now this is what a modern day arcade should look like! Plenty of video games, investment in newer games, indoor bowling and a little redemption for people who like that kinda thing. Check out the Dancing Stage Euromix 2 section! Probably one of the best tributes to Dance Dance Revolution in the UK! Brighton Pier also has a very Dance Dance Revolution setup too! Amazing!! PLEASE keep it maintained, it's a huge rarity these days and you just cannot find this kind of tribute to video games unless you buy a time machine and go back to 1997. Amazing stuff!

Great Yarmouth - What the guide books don't tell you. Britannia Pier
Join me on a walk up to and along Great Yarmouth's second Pier. Marvel at the theatre, built of asbestos in and out. (How can it stay open?) This attraction has , in its lifetime, been plagued by fire. This is the modern day pier. Filmed mostly with an SJ400 camera. I hope you enjoy!
