THE TOY TRUMPET - BUGLE CALL RAG - THE SNAKE CHARMER - SWING PATROL
Robbie made many recordings on this instrument both solo and with other artistes,
plus a long series with The Organ, The Dance Band & Me featuring Billy Thorburn on piano.
The Compton has been lovingly restored and now resides in a barn in Norfolk,
alongside the ex-Chrystalate/Decca Studios 5 unit Wurlitzer.
The Compton was first installed at the Beaufort Cinema Washwood Heath Birmingham
where it was regularly broadcast by Reginald New.
It was enlarged for installation in the Abbey Road number one studio
with unenclosed Xylophone and Melotone.
Robbie gave a memorable performance for our audience at Compton Lodge - He was terrific!!!
