Brogo Yak n Fish 2016
Kayak fishing for Australian Bass at Brogo Dam, NSW in October 2016. The fishing was real tuff, we could see the fish, but we struggled to catch them. The weather wasn't great, we froze our butt's off at night, a low pressure system was parked above us, and it stormed and snowed in the mountains above us. Despite all that, we wouldn't have traded a minute of it, and we are going back again real soon. A truly magical location.

Late September and the weather is perfect for a paddle on Brogo Dam. Lucy picked up the technique in no time, despite it being her first time in the kayak.
Sentinals of Country - Shoalhaven River
Description: Although the Shoalhaven River is not within the purview of this ‘Recreational Paddler’s Guide’ to the far south eastern coast of Australia; it is, nonetheless, an important adjacent river - a river with arguably some of the finest recreational paddles on offer. This video is of the impounded waters of Tallowa Dam. It is a video that also presents with personal commentary on the environmental consequence of anthropogenic induced change, to both the soul of Country and the spiritual self.

Kayak fishing the Bega River
A trip up the Bega River estuary mid-winter on the Hobie ProAngler kayaks to do a bit of lure fishing with my mate Chris from the NT and his dog Lucy. Caught a mixed bag of flathead, trevally, blackfish and tailor... Enjoy the sounds of silence, one of the beauties of kayak fishing!
