The Casablanca Cocktail Lounge opened in Brooklyn on 12/18/2014 to a packed house. Entrepreneur, Charles von Herrlich has made the old, new, with a twist. Oda Simi is an international Moroccan Dj/Singer/Songwriter and probably one of the first Berber female Dj in the world .
After studying sound engineer in Montreal , she left this magical city and moved to Toulouse france to join the prestigious school of Djing Zygomatik record .
With the help of the famous Dj Madam James that she considers as her musical mentor and guide, she took her courage and launched into the biggest clubs of toulouse :
L'Elektro / Le Ramier / Le Sept / Couleur de la culotte / Le beaucoup etc ...
Years later she was contacted by one of the biggest party event of the city LOKA AGENCY to dj in one of the most important club in france L'inox Electronic Club .
Always unexpected Oda Simi realized one of her deepest fantasy and dj with a Moroccan Caftan in honor of her moroccan and pride roots .
She focuses mainly on her moroccan career to push the mentalities. Her ultimate goal is also to defend animal, women and gay rights and is an untiring advocate of a free and balanced country. And I assure you that it is always harder for a moroccan woman to find her place and keep it in a male and macho dominated society. Despite the countless obstacles she faced, the doors finally opened, by no miracle though, but only because she has talent and she knows how to make people dance .
