Catch a glimpse of Gros Morne National Park, Newfoundland and Labrador
Newfoundland and Labrador is a place filled with breathtaking landscapes. And they are as much a part of us, as we are of them. Gros Morne National Park, a recognized UNESCO World Heritage Site, is no different. Whether you're setting foot on the mantle of the earth at the Tablelands, camping at Lomond Campground, cruising through a glacier-carved fjord at Western Brook Pond, or getting your hands dirty at the Mudge Family Fishing Premises in Broom Point -- the experiences you have will stay with you long after you return home. If you decide to leave.

The Coastal Trail Gros Morne National Park
Great camp site and great hike along The Coastal Trail between Green Point and Bakers Brook in Gros Morne National Park, a UNESCO world heritage site. This 6km return trip takes you along an old trail that was used between two fishing communities before roads existed. Some of the best scenery you will see along Western Newfoundland's rugged coastline. The geology of the area is a must see for buffs visiting the area.

The Tablelands, Gros Morne National Park, Newfoundland & Labrador (162)
This hiking trail was fun and easy. The audio tour app made it very interactive. We were able to download the app at the discovery center and we kept our location on to enable the app during our hike. Although it was windy, the hike was not at all challenging. It was an easy 4 km in and out. I definitely recommend it if you will be in the area.
How many chances will you get to walk on the earth's mantle rock?
They also have free guided tours on certain mornings. Please check with the Discovery center for the current schedule:

One of the many incredible locations in Gros Morne National Park, Newfoundland & Labrador, Broom Point Fishing Premises offers a window into the remote existence of fishing families -- both the spectacular environment, and the isolation.

Green Point, Gros Morne, Newfoundland
The Cambrian-Ordovician Boundary is visible at Green Point where tilted beds of shale and limestone make up a cliff. You can see 1,000's of layers of rock formed 450 - 550 million years ago.

Fish antics at Gros Morne Park
Pulling over from our drive out of Gros Morne Park in Newfoundland to better observe some craziness in the water. Would love to know more about what we're witnessing here! Anyone?
Bakers Brook Falls Gros Morne National Park
Great half day hike. This trail takes you through lots of different terrain including old clear cuts. It is relatively flat with plenty of board walks to keep your feet dry because it is a very wet area. No trouble to see moose and other wildlife along the way so keep your eyes open.
Sugarloaf Path, East Coast Trail, Newfoundland
On January 1st, 2016, I was dropped off at the Ocean Sciences Centre in Logy Bay, Newfoundland. I hiked 9 kilometers back to the city on the Sugarloaf Path, a section of the East Coast Trail. It was a very difficult hike along the rugged coastline with steep climbs and descents made even more challenging by 10 centimeters of fresh snow.

Bakers Brook Falls - Gros Morne, Newfoundland - Wasserfall Neufundland
Bakers Brook Falls - Gros Morne National Park
Video:
Amazing Waterfalls near Rocky Harbour in the Gros Morne National Park (West-Newfoundland): The Bakers Brook Falls. A well maintained hiking trail leads from the Berry Hill campground to the Falls. On the way we have seen moose, lots of squirrels and caribous.
Parks Canada: The falls are the main attraction of this trail, rivalled by a profusion of spring and summer wildflowers in the bog and forest. At the riverside, follow the trail downstream to a viewpoint over a wide step-like water falls.
