Broome International Airport
Broome International Airport (BIA) has received two of the highest accolades in Australian aviation, based, in part, on a major investment in facilities to revitalise the local economy.
BIA was recently honoured as the Regional Airport of the Year, in the Australian Aviation Association’s National Industry Awards. BIA’s Executive Director for Projects also received the Individual Award for Excellence for his role in managing a series of key projects.
The awards were based on a $23 million programme of works funded entirely by BIA to support a recovery in tourism and an expansion into the offshore oil and gas sector.
One of the few privately-owned airports in Australia, BIA has taken the lead in rebuilding confidence in the famous North West pearling town and resort centre in the Kimberley region.

This video is about our trip to Gantheaume Point at Broome. We actually went there twice during our stay. It was too hot to stay longer on the first visit. So we only stayed less than an hour and then went back again two days later. It is an amazing place and perfect to taking photos! Would love to go back again one day.

Largest ever Passenger Plane Landed in WA - Broome
A Qantas A330 landed in Broome on 14 May 2019 after an electronics failure on QF44 DPS-SYD, making it the largest aircraft to ever land in Kimberley.

Welcome to Qantas' regional arm Qantas Link. Join me onboard the QantasLink Airbus A320 (Network Aviation) VH-VQU River Red Gum flying from Perth to Broome under the command of Chief Pilot Captain Anthony Jackson.
