Langdale End & Broxa Forest, North York Moors - 16 February 2013
A 10.5 mile round trip of Langdale End & Broxa Forest. The route starts at Reasty Hill Top car park. The route leads south down to the valley of Whisper Dales before climbing upto Broxa and then on to the village of Langdale End. From here the route climbed Howden Hill (because you can!) and then follows the ridge of Langdale Rigg End before descending to Holm Wood and then returning along the escarpment of Broxa Forest. On my travels I spot a magnificant buzzard soaring above. Music is Walk On & Kite by U2

Boltby Forest & Boltby, North York Moors - 16 March 2019
A 13 mile round trip, the route initially heads north towards Boltby Forest, following the edge of the forest the route reaches the Cleveland Way and continues north until reaching Kepwick Quarry where the route turns east and then south towards Dale Town Common and then rejoining the Cleveland Way at High Paradise Farm and heading south along the Cleveland Way. After passing Boltby Scar the route then descends and begins the return leg back to Boltby

Hackness, North York Moors - 23 September 2014
An 8 mile round trip from Reasty Hill Top car park, the route heads south towards Whisper Dales and then onto Lowdales Farm before following the quiet country lane to Hackness. From Hackness the route heads north at Thirlsley Bottoms and into the Lost Planet valley before emerging near Merrick Rigg and then heads towards the escarpment of Harwood Dale and following back to the starting location.

This video is a guided walk near Scarborough. The walk (Part 1) is from Langdale End to Morra Head Wood and has a few steep inclines and declines through Langdale Forest with beautiful views and seeing fungi and motor bike scrambling.

Troutsdale & Wykeham Forest, North York Moors - 24 October 2015
The route, just short of 9 miles, starts from Highwood Brow Viewpoint, initially heading west towards Raptor Viewpoint, it continues along the ridge to Cockmoor Hall car park where we then descended along the country lane towards Keeper's Cottage before heading north along the bridleway onto Troutsdale Moor. The route then heads east along the ridge of Backleys before descending back to Troutsdale before returning south up Moor Road.
