Our Tasmania Adventure 2018 | Part 3/3 | Mt Field, Hobart, Bruny Island, Freycinet
We're Stephen and Queenie - an adventurous couple exploring Australia in a 4WD!
On this trip, we explore Tasmania and everything it has to offer. This incredible island state has so much to give. Beautiful beaches, rocky coasts, spectacular wilderness, dense forests, old world history and endless roads and tracks to explore.
Enjoy the final instalment - Part 3 of 3, as we leave the Mt Field National Park and head to Strathgordon to check out the Gordon Dam and Lake Pedder. Then, it's out of the tent and into a hotel in Hobart where we explore all that this city has to offer! Ferry rides, MONA, whiskey tasting and plenty more. Our next stop is the peaceful Bruny Island. We round out our trip with Port Arthur, Lime Bay, Wineglass Bay and Ben Lomond National Park.
Come with us on our epic Tasmania Adventure...

We take our TD42 Patrol on The Spirit of Tasmania for a road trip to a bunch of locations including the Lake Cumberland Track, Climbies Track, Bruny Island, Freycinet National Park and Arthur River.
Have you visited any of these locations? Let me know what you thought in the comments.

CLOUDY BAY BEACH CAMP TASMANIA
Absolutely amazing beach camp on Bruny Island in Tasmania. Tow your big caravan down the beach to a bush camp.
This is the END of the Road - Bruny Island & South Port - TASMANIA - E10
This week we leave our favourite city Hobart behind and ferry the ute over to Bruny Island. Our first stop is the cheese factory before hitting the look out of the neck - this is the tiny land mass that connects the island together. We decide to only spend 48 hours on the island as the weather turns for the worst bringing 95km/h winds with rain and even sleet. Fair to say we were cold.
Our next stop is Australian most southern pub before heading to the end of the road at Cockle Creek. We hike to the southern point of Australia and touch the water that flows to Antarctica.
Our plan was to then drive to Geeveston to visit the 2nd tallest tree in the world but road closures due to bush fires had other ideas. We decided to visit a winery to drink away our blues until more road closures affected our next plans. Where to next? At this point we still don't know...

Drifting around Bruny
A Surf-roadtrip around stunning Bruny Island, far south Tasmania, Australia, just 40 minutes drive from Hobart
Sidetracked '18 Tasmania, Track IV
The picturesque Tasmanian countryside soon turns into a rutted out and insanely overgrown track. It takes several hours to travel only a few kilometres trying to negotiate the saturated Magnet Mine Track. Pin striping is unavoidable and the trucks receive a flogging, with the clock against us we need to move!!!
Bruny Island - Tasmania
Bruny Island is an island off the south-eastern coast of Tasmania, from which it is separated by the D'Entrecasteaux Channel.
L'île Bruny est une île située sur la côte sud-est de la Tasmanie et séparée de cette dernière par le canal d'Entrecasteaux. Tous deux portent le nom de l'explorateur français Antoine Bruny d'Entrecasteaux.
76. Bruny Hotel, Bruny Island Tasmania
Bruny Hotel on Bruny Island Tasmania provides a fantastic camp place for just $5.
Located at Alonnah on the Western side of Bruny Island there are no amenities but there are toilets in the pub plus public toilets and dump point just a short walk or drive down the road next to the Police station.
The camp ground is pet friendly.
I had Telstra coverage but no Vodafone.
Located directly opposite the ocean, the pub provides superb meals.
Cost was $5 per night. See the staff at the pub when you arrive.
Our stay was for 9-11th February 2017
Bruny Island crash
An embarrassing crash on Nebraska Beach on Bruny Island, in front of Ray Martin who was taking a stroll with his photographer.
Never fear, the quad lives. Only one ESC was fried.

Tasmania Attractions | A Travellers Thought
When I first set eyes on the island, it only took a moment... to realise what I had uncovered was special. You know... that feeling when you have discovered a new place and yet somehow it still feels familiar. That small tingling that you feel.. some call it a vibe, some call it energy, some simply say its a sense of place.
Our retreat, our sanctuary, our refuge, our haven... our home. It's such a special place, Tasmania.
Why not head to Tasmania today? The land where every step is magic, you wish you never had to leave ????

White Wallaby, Bruny Island, Tasmania, Part 2
Recorded on February 23, 2011 using a Flip Video camcorder on Bruny Island, Tasmania, Australia. A rare morph of wallaby and not an albino, it is thought that only 200-300 of these exist in the world, all of them on Bruny Island.
