Friend and a Friend Lyrics
I set out long ago
Didn't give a thought to all the rogues and robbers on the road
Cuz if I had a chance
I know I had to take it
So for the longest time
I spent a string of lonely nights in the back of a Ford Econoline
You wake up feeling low
And you get behind the wheel and go
Some days it's wide open
Some days it's a dead end
Some days I feel like I'm walking on the Wild West and
Got a big dream and a worn-out D18
All I need is a friend and a friend and another friend
Friend and a friend and another friend
You never know what you're gonna get
When you roll into some new town, play for people that you've never met
Maybe they all know your name
Maybe they don't
Maybe they don't care at all
So you do the best you can
The empty coffee cups rolling back and forth inside the van
But it all comes around
And when the lights go down
Some days it's wide open
Some days it's a dead end
Some days I feel like I'm walking on the Wild West and
Got a big dream and a worn out D18
All I need is a friend and a friend and another friend
Friend and a friend and another friend
This is the life
The life I've chosen
Not even I can see the cards I'm hold'n
And if tonight it doesn't go my way
There's always tomorrow
Some days it's wide open
Some days it's a dead end
Some days I feel like I'm walking on the Wild West and
Got a big dream and a worn out D18
All I need is a friend and a friend and another friend
Friend and a friend and another friend

Lyrics:
Your spark lit up the sky
And the world went dark
I could hear the silence break through the night
Igniting my heart
The lines fell
The stars were shining all around us
Time went
On and on
I can see it, I can see it now
The light came in when the power went out
I can feel it, I can feel it now
The love came in when the power went out
You lost the tangled wire
When you looked me in the eye
Said, Everything's all right now, the night is clear
We won't let the fire die
The lines fell
The stars were shining all around us
Time went
On and on
I can see it, I can see it now
The light came in when the power went out
I can feel it, I can feel it now
The love came in when the power went out
I saw you for the first time
When the power went out
I can't wait for the next time
When the power goes out
I saw you for the first time
When the power went out
Power went out, power went out, power went out
I can see it, I can see it now
The light came in when the power went out
I can feel it, I can feel it now
The love came in when the power went out
I can see it, I can see it now
The light came in when the power went out
I can feel it, I can feel it now
The love came in when the power went out

Can craft cannabis compete with Big Marijuana? | Marijuana
The state government of California is currently developing rules that will define whether a geographic area can be deemed a marijuana growing region. For small farmers, who are threatened by industrial competitors and the cost of regulation, survival may depend on customers caring about the specific location and soil in which their cannabis is grown. Economics correspondent Paul Solman reports.

Lyrics:
Goin' out on the highway
Gonna listen to them big trucks whine
I'm goin' out on the highway
Gonna listen to them big trucks whine
That white freightliner's
Gonna steal away my mind
It's bad news from Houston
Half of my friends are dying
Well, it's bad news from Houston
Half of my friends are dying
That white freightliner's
Gonna steal away my mind
New Mexico's alright
Some people there will treat you fine
New Mexico's alright
Some people there will treat you fine
That white freightliner's
Gonna steal away my mind
Lord, I'm gonna ramble
Till I get back to where I came
Well, Lord, I'm gonna ramble
Till I get back to where I came
That white freightliner's
Gonna steal away my pain
Goin' out on the highway
Gonna listen to them big trucks whine
Goin' out on the highway
Gonna listen to them big trucks whine
That white freight liner's
Gonna steal away my mind
That white freight liner's
Gonna steal away my mind

Lyrics:
Standing on the moon
I got no cobweb on my shoe
Standing on the moon
I'm feeling so alone and blue
I see the Gulf of Mexico
As tiny as a tear
The coast of California
Must be somewhere over here, over here
Standing on the moon
I see the battle rage below
Standing on the moon
I see the soldiers come and go
There's a metal flag beside me
Someone planted long ago
Old Glory standing stiffly
Crimson, white and indigo
Old Glory standing stiffly
Crimson, white and indigo
Indigo
I see all of Southeast Asia
I can see El Salvador
I hear the cries of children
And the other songs of war
It's like a mighty melody
That rings down from the sky
Standing here upon the moon
I watch it all roll by, all roll by
All roll by, all roll by
Standing on the moon
I see a shadow on the sun
Standing on the moon
The stars go fading one by one
I hear a cry of victory
Another of defeat
A scrap of age-old lullaby
Down some forgotten street
Standing on the moon
Where talk is cheap and vision true
Standing on the moon
But I would rather be with you
Somewhere in San Francisco
On a back porch in July
Just looking up at heaven
At this crescent in the sky, in the sky
Standing on the moon
With nothing left to do
A lovely view of heaven
But I'd rather be with you
A lovely view of heaven
But I'd rather be with you, be with you
Be with you, I'd rather be with you
Be with you, I'd rather be with you
I'd rather be with you, be with you
Be with you, be with you

Lyrics:
Trace my finger on the map
Tryin' to make out where you are
You know I do the best I can, but I can't take this anymore
Your letters get shorter, the days get longer
I call across the border, it's static on the line
Save this heart of mine
Darling don't forsake my hand
Swear the light is not too far
Think I finally understand what you've known clearly from the start
But your letters get shorter, the days get longer
I call across the border, it's static on the line
Save this heart of mine
Do you feel me in your blood?
Am I the poison in your veins?
Deep down I've known you were the one, is it too little too late?
But your letters get shorter, the days get longer
I call across the border, it's static on the line
Save this heart of mine
Save this heart of mine

Danny Knicely comes from a musical family steeped in a mountain music tradition for generations. He first learned music from his grandfather, A.O. Knicely, who has been playing dances and social events in the Shenandoah Valley of Virginia since the 1930's. Danny has used his roots in old-time and bluegrass to explore various types of music from around the world. He has shared his music and collaborated with musicians in a dozen countries spanning four continents, including U.S. State Department tours in Tunisia, Morocco, and Russia.
Danny is also musical director for the Mountain Music Project, a non-profit organization dedicated to serving traditional musicians worldwide, and he plays a major role in a feature length documentary film called “The Mountain Music Project”. The film follows two Appalachian musicians on a journey through the Himalayas of Nepal and the mountains of Virginia while they experience the extraordinary connections between these two mountain cultures.
As a multi-instrumentalist, Danny has won many awards for his mandolin, guitar, and fiddle expertise, including first place in the mandolin contest at the prestigious Telluride Bluegrass Festival. His masterful mandolinistry and original compositions can be heard on his debut album “Roots and Branches” and his colorful, versatile, acoustic guitar picking can be heard on his latest release Waltz for Aimee.
Danny is an avid music educator whose students have gone on to attain degrees at institutions such as Berklee College of Music and Oberlin Conservatory. He has also taught at some of the leading music camps in the U.S. including Augusta Heritage Center, Common Ground on the Hill, Fairbanks Summer Arts Festival, and Millwood Blues Week.
