A group of polite robbers dragged a Boksburg couple from their vehicle at gunpoint and robbed them of two Rolex watches, a 5-carat diamond wedding ring and a diamond tennis bracelet – all valued at an estimated R1.2m.
According to the couple's son, the robbers were very polite and even asked his mother to please take off her watch.

WATCH: Shoprite security guard shot point-blank during store robbery
A security guard was shot dead when a gang of 15 men robbed a Shoprite supermarket in Heidelberg, south of Johannesburg on Friday evening.
Video shows the guard involved in a scuffle with one of the robbers at the entrance of the Ratanda Shopping Centre.
While the security guard and robber struggled over the firearm, two more robbers entered the shop.
Both men shoot the security guard at close range, before more men enter and rob the premises.
The group got away with an undisclosed amount of money.
According to police, officers responding to the scene confronted the gang some distance from the shop and an exchange of gun fire ensued.
Police spokesperson Sergeant Lerato Mngomezulu told News24 that one officer and a Fidelity security guard were shot in the cross fire Both were rushed to hospital.
The Cluster task team managed to arrest a male in possession of a firearm during follow-up operations,’’ she said.
In a statement to News24, The Shoprite Group has confirmed they are working closely with police’s Provincial Investigation Unit (PIU) of the South African Police Service.
The Supermarket chain expresses its condolences to the guard’s family and is supporting them during this time. Staff members are being counselled to assist them to recover from this terrible ordeal,’’ the statement said.

WATCH: Robber shot dead in high-speed Joburg car chase
A robber was shot dead after a high-speed chase near Beyers Naude Drive in Johannesburg on Thursday afternoon.
Police spokesperson Colonel Noxolo Kweza said the man and two others robbed a woman at the gate to her house in Montgomery Park.
They took several goods from her, including jewellery and sped off ... A security company saw what was happening [and] then gave chase.

Police on a manhunt for five men after a robbery at a jewellery store
Gauteng Police are on a manhunt for five men who escaped after a bloody armed robbery at a jewellery store in a shopping centre, west of Johannesburg on Saturday. A provincial task team has been set up to follow fresh leads. Four of their accomplices were arrested.

A video an armed robbery at the entrance of a Johannesburg residential complex yesterday, has emerged.
A resident in a black double cab bakkie can be seen approaching the gated entrance of the Polofields residential complex in Waterfall Estate when Mercedes sedan enters the next entrance lane.
Three armed men jump out of the vehicle and accost the driver of the bakkie, before running back to their vehicle.
The entire incident is over in less than 30 seconds.
‘’It was a follow-home robbery by the Rolex Gang,’’ Isec Security Director, Craig Sacke told News24.
‘’Even though the original Rolex Gang has been arrested, there is still a huge market for these stolen items, someone is buying them.’’
Isec Security is using their own resources to try and uncover these types of criminal syndicates and all information is handed over to the police.
‘’We are following up this incident using our network of informants and other security companies share information via social media as well because this helps everyone in the long-term.’’ Added Sacke.
It is still unclear what was actually stolen and no one was armed during the incident.
The SAPS's Colonel Lungelo Dlamini has confirmed that a case of armed robbery is being investigated.

Gauteng police provincial commissioner Lieutenant General Elias Mawela has instructed an urgent internal investigation be initiated to establish the identity of a man who appears to be a police officer, rough-handling two men in a video.
The video came into the spotlight after being shared on Twitter by photojournalist James Oatway on Thursday. In the tweet, Oatway writes that he came across the incident in Orange Grove, a suburb in Johannesburg.
