I have to admit this video does not quite justify the experience and beauty that Buchan Cave has to offer. One of the best parts about touring the cave apart from the amazing scenery is having a friendly Tour Guide with good humour to explain interesting facts and history about this cave.

Near the township of Buchan, lies a honeycomb of caves full of spectacular limestone formations.
The caves were formed by underground rivers cutting through limestone rock. The formations are created by rain water seeping through cracks and dissolving some of the limestone. As each droplet comes through the roof it deposits calcite which crystallises in a small ring. In time, stalactites are formed on the roof of the cave, and stalagmites build up from droplets which fall to the floor.
Discover the beautiful calcite-rimmed pools of Royal Cave and the elaborate stalactites and stalagmites of Fairy Cave on a guided tour. Tours are conducted daily.

I loved so much those formations in The Buchan Caves, created 400 billion years ago...
I was speechless as inside that deep underground empire, in 'silence' there was built a new magnificent hidden world: without kings and queens, without love and hate; without worries and sufferings; without rich lazy bosses and poor hard working 'people’; without angriness of conquests and terrified conquered nations; without cheaters, preachers and prayers; without faithful or betrayal morals...
My mind was playing 'piano', as we human being would never have that excellent fantasy to have such magnificent sculptures, maintained in perfect order and in a splendid harmony.

Visited Buchan on a road trip to Gippsland, VIC.
I enjoyed the short stay in a backpacker in Buchan and lovely valley, horses and Caves.
If you are on travelling trip to Lakes entrance, VIC or if your on A1 Highway coming down past Orbost, take a right from Nowa Nowa and follow the sign boards.
