I took my 3 year old and 19 month old boys to this gallery in Feb 2017. We had such a fun time. Lots of hands on exhibits for young children.
Buckinghamshire County Museum to host display of Islamic art
A major museum exhibition in Aylesbury opened yesterday, with a hope of showcasing the cultural and artistic side of Islam.
Organizers said it is the largest display of Islamic art ever seen in public in the county or anywhere in the South East outside the great museums.
Treasures on display include carpets, paintings, furniture, metalwork, jewelry and calligraphy from across Asia as well as one of the largest collections of the Qur'ans in the country.
Buckinghamshire County Museum Trust is organizing the Islamic art Festival, which started from yesterday and will continue until September 24.
All of this will be centered at the Bucks County Museum in Aylesbury, but more than 100 associated events are planned across the county in collaboration with mosques, libraries and arts venues.
The exhibition has been boosted by a grant of £49.950 from the Arts Council which will help fund events around the county.
The exhibits will be borrowed from the British Museum, Birmingham City Museum and Art Gallery, the Horniman Museum in London and from a major private collection owned by renowned UK collector and philanthropist Razwan Baig.

The London Underground is a public rapid transit system in the United Kingdom that serves a large part of Greater London and the home counties of Essex, Hertfordshire and Buckinghamshire. It has many former stations, while others were planned but not opened. Some stations were closed because of low passenger usage rendering them uneconomical; some became redundant after lines were re-routed or replacements were constructed; and others are no longer served by the Underground but remain open to National Rail mainline services. Many stations were planned as parts of new lines or extensions to existing ones but were later abandoned.
Some closed station buildings are still standing, converted for other uses or abandoned, while others have been demolished and their sites redeveloped. A number of stations, while still open, have closed platforms or sections, such as the Jubilee line platforms at Charing Cross. The interiors and platforms of a few closed stations are among parts of the London Underground available for filming purposes, such as those at Aldwych.

Aylesbury first com-con was a great Success with plenty of stalls and lots of cosplay going on, other props included the tardis a dalek a terminater statue in cosplay characters from Assassin's Creed jason and Dr Who characters. All staff at Waterside Theatre were very friendly and outgoing and helpful. A great time was had by all loads of smiles on kiddies faces and adults too. So let's hope this is the first of many to come of Com- Cons. A big thank you to the Waterside Theatre staff for a wonderful day.

Buckinghamshire Railway Centre - London Transport 150 Celebrations 2013
The Buckinghamshire Railway Centre is a railway museum at Quainton Road railway station, near Aylesbury, Buckinghamshire. There are demonstration lines and various workshop buildings as well as the museum buildings.
The museum has a large and varied range of steam and diesel locomotives both operational and on static display. There are also DMUs, EMUs and a huge range of passenger and non-passenger rolling stock.

Our family day out visiting the Roald Dahl Museum and Story Centre at Great Missenden in Buckinghamshire - discovering the author's life and how he wrote his famous tales, as well as plenty of trivia and details of some of his best-known children's books. There are also storytelling and craft sessions, plus a whole area dedicated to inspiring children's creativity. A perfect family day out with kids.

Waddesdon Manor Buckinghamshire.
Waddesdon Manor is a country house in the village of Waddesdon, in Buckinghamshire, England. The house was built in the Neo-Renaissance style of a French château between 1874 and 1889 for Baron Ferdinand de Rothschild (1839–1898). Since this was the preferred style of the Rothschilds it became also known as the Goût Rothschild. The house, set in formal gardens and an English landscape park, was built on a barren hilltop overlooking Waddesdon village.
The last member of the Rothschild family to own Waddesdon was James de Rothschild. He bequeathed the house and its contents to the National Trust in 1957. Today, following an extensive restoration, it is administered by a Rothschild charitable trust that is overseen by Jacob Rothschild, 4th Baron Rothschild. In 2007–08 it was the National Trust's second most visited paid-entry property, with 386,544 visitors.
