Camping in Buckskin Mountain State Park, Arizona. On the Colorado River.
Day 12 - Buckskin Mountain State Park on the banks of the Colarado river
Blue Water RV Park, Parker, AZ
Blue Water RV Park in Parker, Arizona is right on the Colorado River. It is very clean and safe. The rates are very reasonable. The park is close to the Blue Water Casino, movie theatres and arcade. The monthly and long term rates are a super deal in my humble opinion.

THIS PLACE EXISTS? OFF GRID DESERT BAR Parker, Arizona ???????? Full Time RV Living ????
WAY OFF THE GRID is the DESERT BAR in Parker, Arizona. Just outside Lake Havasu City. While we have been full time RV Living out here in Quartzsite, Arizona we decided it was time for an adventure of off roading and seeing this sustainable off grid bar. We took our Ram 3500 Dually out on the path that isn't too bumpy and got to experience some beautiful scenery.
The Desert Bar is located between Parker, Arizona and Lake Havasu City, Arizona. The bar is completely off grid and is powered by solar panels. They accept only cash and have 3 places to purchase food. The owner hopes to eventually build a town out at the desert bar.
These experiences are why we love living in a RV and traveling across the US in our RV. Adventure is around every corner and we are so thankful for the time we have been able to spend with our new friends our here in Quartzsite, Arizona.
We took our drones for a flight around the Desert Bar. My phantom 3 standard flew well in the wind that we had that day. And the Desert Bar from the air looks incredible! Our RV life has us on an adventure of a life time and we live for experiences like this! Tiny living truly has made it possible for us to see the beautiful world around us!

OUR STORY
We are Josh and Kali from Seattle, Washington. In 2015 we decided to change our lives. We sold everything we owned bought a RV and a truck starting living in our RV full time in 30 days! Full time rv living was a major change for us. We hadn't made any plans to change to this rv life until one day it hit us we couldn't have the American Dream and travel to. Choosing to travel meant downsizing our life and becoming minimalists. It was the BEST decision we have ever made. Now we plan to travel non-stop in our 33ft. fifth wheel full time. Join the adventure as we RV across the United States (US)

Dead Horse Ranch State Park Cottonwood Arizona
The story of the park's name begins with the Ireys family, who came to Arizona from Minnesota looking for a ranch to buy in the late 1940s.

#vanlife Is new to this generation; a counter-culture whose mission is based around the idea of living more outdoors, being eco-friendly, and often times affortable. There are different off shots of this culture that are known as Escapees, Escapers, RubberTrampers, Digital Nomads, Snow birds, Rainbow kids, dirt bags, etc. People live in anything that moves, SUVs, cars, trucks, campers, trailers, bikes, tents, Class A's, school buses, step vans, Subaru's, and more. Some of us ask if others are full-timers or part timers This just means if you have a sticks and bricks(house) home base or if you have sold everything and are always on the road. I have been full time in my van for 2 1/2 years camping, boondocking, stealth camping, driveway surfing, parking lot hopping along the way. Every place is new and different and I have friends in many states now. The day to day life is interesting and filled with unknowns. I do get frustrated at it sometimes but I find that even after a few months of staying still I need to pick up and keep going. Seasonal and temporary jobs keep me going but also your support of my channel. I don't know if I would be still on the road in this capacity if it wasn't for your support and encouragement. I feel honored to have so many people rooting for me to keep at it! Through trials and tribulations, sunrises and sunsets this lifestyle change has been a growing experience.
Stay Curious!

ORGAN PIPE CACTUS National Monument
#OrganPipeCactusNationalMonument #NationaalParks #Arizona #camping #PaintedRockPetroglyph #QuitobaquitoSprings #pupfish #JeepLife
We had a three-day camping trip planned to Organ Pipe Cactus National Monument. The Monument is located in Southwestern Arizona. We had a late start and spent the first night at Imperial Dunes State Recreation Area and boondocked in the sand dunes. The next morning, we finished our drive to Organ Pipe Cactus National Monument.
Painted Rocks Petroglyph Site
On the way, we stopped at the Painted Rock Petroglyph Site located on the eastern edge of the Painted Rock Mountains and about eighteen miles northwest of Gila Bend, Arizona. We had driven pass the exit several times without stopping, but this time we did!
The Painted Rock Site is the largest known site in the southwestern United States with around 800 images. The people of the Hohokam (and pre-Hohokam) tribes lived and farmed in this area from 350 AD – 1400 AD. The paintings are thought to have been done in different stages during that timeframe.
Twin Peaks Campground
We got to Organ Pipe Cactus National Monument in the early afternoon and first stopped at the Visitor Center. We got information on what to do and then went on to setup camp. We camped for the next two nights at Twin Peaks Campground. The campsites have no electrical hookups. Water and vault toilets are available.
It was beautiful Arizona winter weather and we enjoyed the sparsely populated campsite.
Ajo Mountain Drive
The next morning long-time friends of ours showed up at the park and we took one of the scenic routes in the park – Ajo Mountain Drive. The two of us climbed into their truck with the two of them and their large dog and we went exploring. Ajo Mountain Drive is a 21-mile scenic drive through the monument.
We were able to see several of the namesake cacti – Organ Pipe Cactus, as well as Saguaro, Ocotillo, Cholla, and others. There had been several winter rains and some of the desert flowers were out in force!
We finished the drive, had a BBQ, some beers and then they had to leave.
South Puerto Blanco Drive
The next morning, we broke camp and drove to the South Puerto Blanco Drive. This is a very large loop and we did not have enough time to do the complete loop.
The monument property borders the US-Mexico border and the road we were on, was just yards away from the border in spots! Border Patrol agents were out and about and even a helicopter buzzed by on occasion! Our destination for our drive was Quitobaquito Springs.
Quitobaquito Springs
Quitobaquito Springs was a water source for the early residents of the area – the Native American tribe Tohono O'odham. This was also a stopping point for travelers in the area.
Quitobaquito Springs is a small-spring fed pond that supports desert wildlife in the area. It is home to the small and endangered Quitobaquito pupfish, and we were able to see many of those fish. The pupfish swim in the pond and in a tiny stream that feeds the pond.
The pond also supports migratory birds for a portion of their long journeys.
Conclusion
Our trip to Organ Pipe Cactus National Monument was a great adventure. We got to see ancient painted rocks, saw scenic desert views and spring flowers with friends, and got to explore a desert springs oasis!
We will see YOU on the next adventure!
