कुशीनगर संग्रहालय को बुद्ध संग्रहालय के नाम से भी जाना जाता है क्‍योंकि इस संग्रहालय में भगवान बुद्ध के जीवन के हर पहलू पर प्रकाश डालते हुए कई चित्रों और सामानों को दर्शाया गया है। कुशीनगर में कुशीनगर संग्रहालय को 1992 - 1993 में बनाया गया था। इस शहर में न केवल भगवान बुद्ध ने उपदेश दिए और अपना शरीर त्‍यागा था, बल्कि उन्‍होने महापरिनिर्वाण भी हासिल किया था।

BUDDHA MUSEUM IS VERY NATUREFUL PLACE
Govt. Buddha Museum Gorakhpur was established in 1987 but the present building came into existence in 1997.The museum's main aim is the collection, preservation, documentation, exhibition of the cultural property and to make them available for educational activities to create awareness about the glorious past. It show cases items like age old sculpture, figurines, terracotta items, beads etc. Most of the objects here are rare and priceless.
Presently four galleries are on display in the museum. About 2023 pieces of metal and stone sculptures, terracotta, potteries, thankas, miniature paintings etc. have been displayed in the galleries.

कुशीनगर में इस #अभयारण्य में 200 #ईसा पूर्व, एक स्तूप और एक मंदिर या भवन के साथ कई पुराने लाल ईंट नींव हैं और बुद्ध की एक बड़ी मूर्ति है, सोते हुए बुद्ध की मूर्ति यहां काफी विशाल है । जब आप परिसर में आते हैं तो आप पेड़ों और घास के आसपास इतनी शांति महसूस करते हैं

परिनिवाण स्तूप ईंट से बना विशाल स्तूप है। स्तूप में इसकी दीवारों पर ब्रह्मी शिलालेख है और इसके अंदर बुद्ध की निर्वाण प्रतिमा है। मूर्ति को ईंट पैडस्टल पर रखा गया है और बुद्ध का चेहरा पश्चिम की तरफ है। ब्रह्मी शिलालेख के अनुसार, बुद्ध के संस्कारित अवशेष यहां दफन किए गए हैं, जिससे बौद्ध धर्म के बाद लोगों के लिए यह एक महत्वपूर्ण #धार्मिक गंतव्य बन गया है। साइट के उत्खनन ने एक विशाल तांबे के जहाज को भी उजागर किया। पारिनरवाना मंदिर, जो चंद्र बलुआ पत्थर से बना है, बौद्ध #भक्तों के लिए पवित्र स्थानों में से एक है।

Sarnath Archaeological Museum displays antiquities in surprisingly good condition ranging from the 3C BC to 12C AD (most being from the 5C) that have been found at Sarnath where the Buddha first taught the Dharma after his enlightenment.

From the ancient Buddhist texts one gets to know that the Ramabhar Stupa, Kushinagar has been referred to as the Mukut-Bandhan Vihar. Near the Ramabhar Stupa, Kushinagar, there is a sheet of water which is the Ramabhar Jheel that completely dries up in the hot summer months. According to the legends, the word Ramabhar might be derived from this pond or the mound. Some people even associate the name with the event of Lord Buddha’s death.

Along with the Ramabhar Stupa, Kushinagar there are interesting tourist places which attracts tourists from world over. Amongst the monuments and temples, one of the major tourist places is the Nirvana Temple. In the Nirvana Temple you can get a glimpse of the 6 meters long statue of Buddha. This is one of the sacred sites for the Buddhists. This is one of the unique images of Lord Buddha which shows him reclining on his right side which is just a few moments before his death. This is called the Bhumi Sparsha Mudra and from the inscriptions below we get to know that the statue was built on 5th century A.D. This is considered to be one of the important monuments in Kushinagar.
