U.S. Fish & Wildlife closes Park land along Mexico Border to Americans. The Buenos Aires National Wildlife Refuge was closed to Americans because the drug & human trafficking has made the area too dangerous for civilians. Sheriff Paul Babeu, Pinal County, AZ has requested National Guard from obama, but he's not interested.

How Immigrants Avoid Dehydration coming from Mexico into the USA
With the Arizona desert being one of the hottest and driest places in North America, immigrants on their way from Mexico have a real challenge finding water to survive. To avoid death by dehydration, water tanks have been placed in the Buenos Aires National Wildlife Refuge in Sasabe, Pima County, Ariz.
The Arivaca Desert 4 - The desert
Far from being a barren expanse of sand and dunes, the southern Arizona desert is actually very lush and beautiful. This was taken during one of our hikes to find illegal immigrants.

Listening is a more natural way of learning, when compared to reading. Written language only began at around 3200 BC, but spoken language has existed long ago.

Obama: Borders Are Safe? He Can't Even Keep a National Park Open
Shortly after President Obama in a highly political speech Thursday said the U.S.-Mexican border is the safest in 20 years, 21 persons were killed in a gun battle between rival drug and immigrant trafficking gangs.
As well about 3,500 acres of southern Arizona along the Mexican border is closed to U.S. citizens due to increased violence in the region.
The closed off area stretches 80 miles along the border and includes part of the Buenos Aires National Wildlife Refuge. It was closed in October 2006 due to human safety concerns, the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service said Wednesday in response to news reports on the closure.
It's literally out of control, said Babeu. We stood with Senator McCain and literally demanded support for 3,000 soldiers to be deployed to Arizona to get this under control and finally secure our border with Mexico.

Southwestern Monarchs
Presented by Gail Morris, Coordinator of the Southwest Monarch Study. April 28, 2016.
For many years the southwest United States was a monarch mystery, a place where monarchs were scarce and little known about their breeding and migration patterns. The Southwest Monarch Study opened new doors of understanding after tagging over 14,000 monarchs and monitoring breeding habitats across the region. This webinar will explore citizen science efforts primarily in Arizona but expanding to New Mexico, Nevada, Utah, the California deserts and western Colorado. Our results dispelled the earlier belief in a Rocky Mountain division in migration destination and also provided new information regarding abundant breeding habitats and small overwintering aggregations in the area. New monarch conservation partnerships working to expand habitats across the southwest will also be featured.
Presenter and organization: Gail Morris, Coordinator of the Southwest Monarch Study

She also sits on the Board of Directors of the Central Arizona Butterfly Association.
