Hiking Broga Hill, Semenyih Malaysia ( Sony Action Cam )
Bukit Broga
BROGA HILL SUNRISE HIKE, Semenyih Malaysia
Bukit Broga is one of the best places to hike within easy range of Kuala Lumpur. It is only 400 metres high (1312 feet) and can easily be climbed in an hour but it is steep and challenging enough to get the heart pumping and lungs puffing. What’s more, it is about the only hill or mountain in Peninsular Malaysia which is covered in lalang grass instead of trees so the views from the top are excellent.
Broga hills are quite unlike any other hills in the rainforest. It is almost void of trees. Rocks and muddy pathways are beautiful on dry days, but when it's rained the previous night, the climb can be tricky. To be safe, get Adidas Kampong trekking shoes that cost less than RM 10/-
The place is inhabited by mosquitoes; never underestimate these winged pests. Do apply some repellent and pack some too- just in case. It's sensible to pack a small bottle of water.
The sun comes up at about 7.30 am, so try and get to the first peak by 7am so that you can relax and decide if you'd like to venture to the second and third peak which is relatively close by.
Every hill/mountain has its unique features. Broga Hills' would be the setting of small hills within a place that's turned back in time. You can tell when you see the coffee shops against a fairly big University some kilometres apart.

Sak Dato Temple (Broga) 石哪督庙 / Giant Monkey God Statue @ Broga Hill, Semenyih, Malaysia
The Broga Sak Dato Temple was built some 140 years ago and it has been rebuilt in 1991. Nestled amongst green valleys and undulating hills, the Broga Sak Dato Temple (Broga Rock Datuk Temple), sits majestically on a hill overlooking the Broga New Village.
Surrounding of the temple looks special, it offers a tranquil and peaceful surrounding with beautifully landscaped gardens and unique style. Broga Hill Semenyih (Farcry View)
The Broga Hill is a nice little hill located in Semenyih (Selangor, Malaysia) with a max elevation of 360meters above sea level
This is a very easy hike, only 30mins' drive from the KL city center. The view is not bad at all, but Bukit Tabur offers a much better view, and is closer to the city; though Tabur is more challenging, and is significantly way more dangerous than this hill
