Djúpivogur is a charming village in Austurland

Djúpivogur is a charming village with a long history of trading since 1589 located in a place of incomparable natural beauty. Today the main industry is fishing with tourism increasing rapidly in recent years. Langabúð, the oldest house in Djúpivogur was originally built in 1790, has been renovated and now serves as a cultural center.

Don't miss the outdoor sculpture, Eggin í Gleðivík, by the world famous Icelandic artist Sigurður Guðmundsson, consisting of 34 eggs. The artwork is on the coast, about 1 km from the center of the village, within a convenient walking distance. The nature around Djupivogur is highly varied. The Búlandsnes bird sanctuary is renowned among bird lovers throughout the world, where you can observe most Icelandic birds nesting in their natural habitat close by.

Climbing Iceland's Pyramid Mountain

And there was that one time, I slid down a pyramid shaped mountain in Iceland on the seat of my pants.

The mountain is called Búlandstindur, and can be found in eastern Iceland, near the town of Djúpivogur.

Djúpivogur est une petite ville d'Islande. C'est dans cette localité que l'on retrouve 34 oeufs en pierre qui représentent les différentes formes et tailles des oeufs d'oiseaux qui vivent dans cette région.

C'est l'artiste islandais Sigurður Guðmundsson qui a créé ces oeuvres . On les retrouve à proximité du port de Djúpivogur. 

Non loin de là, il y a une petite boutique avec pleins d'objets hétéroclites.  Il est facile de la localiser puisqu'à l'entrée de la boutique, il ya deux énormes squelettes de baleine.

冰島環島 十月VLOG - 2019 ICELAND ROAD TRIP

一切都很臨時，那時在黃刀鎮工作突然收到多倫多室友（姥姥）的訊息
問要不要跟她衝一波冰島？大概猶豫了兩天，思前想後，冒著可能會影響後面去古巴的計畫，在抑鬱寒冷的黃刀鎮決定「管他的 走吧」，反正我本來就想去冰島，雖然沒想到這麼快，但人生不就是這樣嗎，常常出奇不意常常無法預測，機會來了就好好抓住，正因為如此才精彩。
然後，我們就在短短的兩週內快速的規劃行程訂住宿，緊接著就已經在前往冰島的冰島航空上。

整個越飛越北，從黃刀（北緯62.45）到冰島（北緯64.96）

必須要說，十天的環島自駕公路旅行，旅伴很重要！因為基本上每天都在車上跟你的同行人面對面，冷到很厭世時窗外的景色也無法讓你熱情起來，講幹話 冷中作樂的技能很重要ＸＤ也許正因為是姥姥 我才覺得那就衝吧～
這十天我們用很省的方式完成冰島之旅，選擇順時針環島，一開始就往北衝，途中遇到許多意想不到的事，也還好順利平安的歸來。
冰島真的很像外太空，與班夫仙境般的美完全不一樣，比起它的美景，這次最大的收穫應該是與同行人共同創造的回憶。
