Walking from Sofia Airport to Sofia City Center LOL! (Sofia, Bulgaria)
wow! This was a culture shock of a journey! LOL!! Instead of paying about $5-$10 for a bus or taxi, we decided to walk 3-4 miles from Sofia Airport to Sofia City Center! We found a lot of loose stray dogs, which liked to chase us LOL! We found a small boy walking a horse!!! Small baby dogs which had just been born rolling around on the floor! Crazy stuff! and many many other things! Experience the true Bulgaria! haha!!

Leaving Sofia Bulgaria COMPLETE
Backside view upon my trailer while leaving Sofia. Notice how everyone is fascinated by my loaded trailer. Toni did well, but I had to drive on the emergency lane at some mountains to let trucks pass by... Too tired to smile at the end of the video while changing to shorts at some highway gas station :D

Action Aquapark, Sunny Beach, Bulgaria
Huge thank you to Action Aquapark for allowing me to fly here after hours.
During a family holiday in Bulgaria I got a chance to fly in the waterpark next to our hotel. I had a total of 6 flights spread out over 1 hour in the park which was pure joy. The staff were very helpful and kept out the way until I gave the all clear so we were in a controlled and safe area.
This water park is AWESOME! and not just for FPV flying. The slides are very well made and maintained along with the excellent English speaking lifeguards and staff make this an incredible holiday destination.
Thank you to Ian who was my spotter for these flights

Bulgaria/Romania: Crossing the Danube Bridge (Friendship Bridge) between Ruse/Pyce & Giurgiu
Bulgaria/Romania: Crossing the Danube Bridge (Friendship Bridge) between Ruse/Pyce, Bulgaria & Giurgiu, Romania.
Clip recorded 10th July 2015 on board the 0755 Sofia – Bucuresti Nord.

The Danube Bridge (formerly known as the Friendship Bridge) is a steel truss bridge over the Danube River connecting the Bulgarian bank to the south with the Romanian bank to the north and the cities of Ruse and Giurgiu respectively. It is one of only two bridges connecting Romania and Bulgaria, the other one being the New Europe Bridge between the cities of Vidin and Calafat. You can reach the Danube bridge by using public transport - bus lines 4,11,12 and 28.
The bridge has two decks; a two lane motorway and a railway. Sidewalks for pedestrians are also included. The central part of the bridge (85 m) is mobile and can be lifted for oversized boats passage. The maintenance of the mobile part is Romania's responsibility and is periodically checked. The bridge was constructed in two and a half years with the aid of the Soviet Union.
The Soviets named it the Friendship Bridge, but, since the fall of the communist regimes in both countries, the bridge got the more functional name of Danube Bridge.
There are a pair of rectangular towers supported by pillars on both ends.

Ruse (also known as Rousse or Russe; Bulgarian: Русе), and historically also known as Rustchuk/Ruschuk, is the fifth largest city in Bulgaria. Ruse is located in the northeastern part of the country, on the right bank of the Danube, opposite the Romanian city of Giurgiu, approximately 75 km (47 mi) south of Bucharest, 200 km (124 mi) from the Bulgarian Black Sea Coast and 300 km (186 mi) from the capital Sofia.
Ruse is a major road and railway hub in Northern Bulgaria. Railway transportation in the city dates back to 1867 when it became a station of first railway line in Bulgaria Ruse - Varna. There are railways to Southern Bulgaria, Sofia, Varna and Bucharest. Ruse has two railway stations for passenger services (Ruse Central and Ruse Razpredelitelna) and two for freight transport services. There are intercity buses that link Ruse with cities and towns all over the country and some European countries.
The Danube bridge is located east of Ruse. It was the only road and rail bridge between Bulgaria and Romania until the opening of a second bridge crossing to Romania on 14 June 2013 at Vidin.

Giurgiu is the capital city of Giurgiu County, Romania, in Muntenia. It is situated amid mud-flats and marshes on the left bank of the Danube facing the Bulgarian city of Ruse on the opposite bank. Three small islands face the city, and a larger one shelters its port, Smarda. The rich grain-growing land to the north is traversed by a railway to Bucharest, the first line opened in Romania, which was built in 1869 and afterwards extended to Smarda. Giurgiu exports timber, grain, salt and petroleum, and imports coal, iron, and textiles.
The Giurgiu-Ruse Friendship Bridge, in the shared Bulgarian-Romanian section of the Danube, crosses the river in the outskirts of the city.
In 1952–1954, during the Communist regime, the USSR helped build the bridge between Giurgiu and Ruse, The Friendship Bridge, a bridge on the Danube linking Romania and Bulgaria.

The Danube is Europe's second-longest river, located in Central and Eastern Europe.
Classified as an international waterway, it originates in the town of Donaueschingen—which is in the Black Forest of Germany—at the confluence of the rivers Brigach and Breg. The Danube then flows southeast for 1,914 km (1,189 mi), passing through four capital cities before emptying into the Black Sea via the Danube Delta in Romania and Ukraine.
