Следующая уникальная постройка - средневековый Кафедральный собор (Apostolica Iglesia Catedral Almeria).
Музей Альмерии – главный музей города, основан в 1933 г.
Арена для боя быков, построена на средства населения, вмещает 9 800 зрителей, открыта 26 августа в 1888 г.
Символ Альмерии – монумент San Cristobal, воздвигнутый в честь Св. Христофора – покровителя путешествующих.

Furnished House in Arles, France

A gîte is a self-catering (furnished, you can cook there) accommodation in France. This one is located at 24, rue Renan, just off the ancient Roman arena. If there are bullfights or other special events going on in this city in Provence, a region of France in the South, or if it is high season for tourists, this would cost more but I got it for 300 euros for a week. It sleeps six.

It is in a very convenient location, the owner is nice, and it has three stories. This on one of quaintest streets/alleys in Arles and tourists walked by a lot and photographed it and the tiny street, which has no cars and is cobblestoned and built on steep ground with long steps.

Areles has the largest greenmarket in the region every Saturday morning and a great smaller market on Wednesday mornings. You can walk to so many places to see from this house. This city is famous for Vincent Van Gogh and its rich Roman history, and is quite close to the Mediterranean sea.

I stayed here for a week in September which can be the rainy season, so check the climate and weather before you book. Usually, this is a hot, sunny, very dry place.

The house has some funny flaws, such as a heated towel rack which there is no way to plug in, a shortness of good knives and the circuit breakers would snap when I ran the toaster in the kitchen, but I alerted the owner. I think we did pay the 50 euros for the cleaning here, but maybe not. The owner gave us the towels and linens for free instead of charging a little for them. There is a washer and dryer, Internet, a good TV with pay channels, a DVD player, and a cute attic room with a skylight. It also has a dishwasher and good appliances. There is no terrace, garden or balcony but I'd have to score this rental about a 9 out of 10. Arles is a city of great personality and you might really love it.

A deposit and proof that we have proper French insurance for ourselves was necessary. I don't think this owner speaks anything but French. People from all over the world signed the guest book and gave this place great ratings. Once you get used to gîtes, you may not want hotels again. That's how good they can be. It's a home away from home and I got to know my neighbors a little, here -- I really enjoyed chatting with people here. This gîte actually had a telephone we could use if we really needed it, which is a rarity. There is a bakery nearby and lots of restaurants, plus bike rental, museums, shops and essential services such as pharmacies. An actual grocery store or butcher was not very close by but we found them, and the greenmarkets were so outstanding, we had plenty to eat and I enjoyed cooking here.

Junkers Ju 52

The Junkers Ju 52 (nicknamed Tante Ju (Aunt Ju) and Iron Annie) was a German trimotor transport aircraft manufactured from 1932 to 1945. It saw both civilian and military service during the 1930s and 1940s. In a civilian role, it flew with over twelve air carriers including Swissair and Deutsche Luft Hansa as an airliner and freight hauler. In a military role, it flew with the Luftwaffe as a troop and cargo transport and briefly as a medium bomber. The Ju 52 continued in postwar service with military and civilian air fleets well into the 1980s.

Ciudad de los sentidos

El documental sigue un itinerario cronológico a través de sus monumentos: puente romano, Mezquita-Catedral, Medina Azahara, Sinagoga, alcázar de los Reyes Cristianos....Vemos su casco antiguo lleno de rincones con duende, y paseamos por él de noche. Junto al río vemos los restos de sus molinos árabes, comprobamos el buen estado de salud de su río, en los sotos de la Albolafia (paraíso natural en plena ciudad), y nos acercamos a su poco conocido botánico.
El documental se demora mostrando su Feria y su Semana Santa. De soslayo se introduce en la intimidad de sus patios, donde un bailaor rompe el silencio con su taconeo, o el agua de las fuentes canta de un modo diferente en los doce patios del Palacio de Viana.
Hay una Córdoba típica, que bien representa el toro en su museo taurino, y el caballo en las Reales Caballerizas, (de los cruces genéticos llevados a cabo allí salió la raza española), pero pocos conocen como se hace el sombrero cordobés, o como se fabrica una guitarra, que en gran parte, la economía de la ciudad se sustenta en la industria joyera, que su facultad de veterinaria aplica las últimas técnicas quirúrgicas, o que su hospital Reina Sofía es líder en trasplantes. El documental insiste en una Córdoba menos conocida, generosa y abierta: el Ave la ha confirmado como puerta de Andalucía.

The documentary follows a chronological path through its monuments: the Roman bridge, Mosque, Medina Azahara, Synagogue, Alcazar de los Reyes Cristianos .... We see the old town full of places to troll, and he walked by night. The Red Bull Paper Wings World Final lived up to its expectations as the top paper plane pilots left it all in the sky for a chance to be called the best in the world. Pilots competed in the Distance, Airtime, and Aerobatic disciplines, and each featured a unique array of paper planes and throwing techniques.
